One guy started off, before we'd dropped with "another drop another lose" and other demoralizing crap, then went under an on-ramp (on River City) and shutdown, leaving us a Linebacker down and basically losing us the match.
Another rolled a frikkin MAD-IIC and shutdown behind a building, leaving us an assault down and losing us the match.
This seems to be a theme to several games I've played recently, and I've not encountered it in anywhere near as much abundance as I have today.
Two questions:
1. Has anyone else noticed this, or have I just been lucky up until now?
2. Is there actually any proper repercussions from reporting a player? Just wondering if it's worth bothering.
1. Yes. Its the new meta for grieving gits. You also have folks who drop, never say anything at all and never leave the drop zone and pretend to be AFK so they can race in once they see vulnerable opponents to vulture kills (even if this means the other 11 on the team have died). You can easily see who these folks are by looking at the leaderboard, sorting by KDR and then looking at their WLR. The ones who do it constantly will have a great imbalance between the two ratios (with usually about a 3 : 1 ratio of KDR to WLR over a hundred or more matches).
2. Yes, if you email moderation@mwomercs.com and include video or screen caps such as of the battlegrid map showing them just sitting at the dropzone as the team is nearly all dead, and then they suddenly have sprung back to life and are going around killing the enemy. They KNOW who does this often from previous reports about them, and will do things about them when more reports show up.
