Seems like the other team was testing out the 3xAMS "Iron Dome" strat. MS specializes in surprise Crab rush, but these Novas are pretty deadly as well.
Good match sir! I'm one of the Leaders of PH-R and I logged out the match before this one, unfortunately. We ran the Nova death-squad most of last night and lost one match out of about 20 played. The unit mates were all talking about this match last night and how you did 1700 damage. Well done, you certainly did your part for your team. I know the AMS coverage had your LRMers frustrated. I think someone screen-shotted a LRM 80 complaining about being a lrm 80 and getting 0 hits. AMS works.

So, where is the 65 ton IS mech that can to 1500 to 1700 on a regular basis?
Something else people never talk about.

I do it on my JM6 DD with 3 UAC5s and a boat load of ammo, I get it done on my TDR with 3LPL and 2ML once in a while too.
The only real difference is they're slower, same armor, but STD engines are slow.

I think it is because you are forced to make up for the others, in a loss. My first 3K+ damage CW game happened in a loss too.
Yeah, the more targets there are for you specifically to shoot the higher your score will be, unless they kill you off quickly. If everyone does "their job" and gets a decent level of damage each, then each players score would be about 300, you can only really get more if you are doing more than your "share" of damage, which can only be done if others haven't done their share yet.
Speaking generally there, circumstances will vary of course.

Clearly a lack of teamplay/coordination which led to the loss.
And some of your team couldn't run away fast enough, which is no surprise.
Shows how important ECM is if you don't want to be noticed.
Guess I'm too used to be in the middle of the action. I always feel like a juicy piece of meat in the middle of a starving pack of wolves as soon as I stick my head out.

I'm hitting 380 damage per kill in my recent play with laser boats, so to be perfectly honest 283 is pretty good in my book.

Sounds like a lot of waste, no offense. I consider anything over 200 per kill to be a pretty wasteful match for me.

Efficient kills are nice, but they often can't be done against a target at range. And there's a lot of shooting at other targets of opportunity that inflate damage scores without scoring kills.
About the only mechs I consistently score sub-300 damage per kill with are brawlers, due to close range allowing for better focusing of my shots, and the limited range of my weapons preventing me from taking most shots at targets of opportunity.

Well, this is true, and since I usually play skirmishers and brawlers, I tend to be sub 500 meters. The only builds I play at range tend to be PPFLD Snipers, which also waste less damage (usually...obviously a lot more can happen when shooting at 1000+ meters than at 250). I find that I just can't find doing lightsaber fights at 1200 meters very interesting, so that probably helps my efficiency (even if it likely costs me in other areas).
