12. Push in coordinated efforts, one direct fire mech can destroy an LRM boat easily if you are accurate and at or under optimal range, 6 or 8 doing it makes LRM boaters cry on the inside.

I knew just never really bother and want to see if anybody would find out, also your quality is like 900% better than WatchMojo and Top10.

Well Watchmojo sets the bar so low, you would have to limbo under a bar set 2mm off the ground...
What if I dug a small trench and limbo'd under the bar?

POWERING down breaks the lock just as moving behind cover does. If the person LRM'ing you is depending on someone else with LOS for the lock...then unless that someone is close enough with an active probe to detect you while shutdown... its an easy way to avoid the LRMs (it doesn't work if the shooter has LOS himself since he/she can just dead fire them at you).

But if it works for you I guess it works, I bet it wont help vs tag or UAV but hey maybe its useful enough for some in enough situations.
I just keep moving, spread the damage, and most importantly try to determine why I am being shot by LRMs at all, to which the answers are most often; a UAV, a NARC or tag scout, and/or bad positioning.

dont forget the lovly AC 2, incredible Range

most lerm boaters are dumb enough to get scared of the 1-2 damage that they get from just outside of lerm range. its good to pin down a lone boat while a squirrel goes about back shatting it.

so are most is lerm boats. they probibly have case in the torsos, but shoot the legs and arms for boom boom. also some pilots uselessly stick case in with an xl engine to much bemusement. dont bother with clan mechs, case everywhere, just shoot it where its weak.

Its actually taught in the academy. Perhaps that was too long ago for you to remember that. It actually does break locks still in the game. TAG and UAV don't detect shutdown mechs either. Only active probes do and only from up close.

That is interesting I guess, still I have never been so badly pummeled by LRMs that shutting down came to mind lol, or never in an instance where shutting down wouldn't just result in me getting shot anyway, good to know I guess. And bypassing TAG and UAVs is really powerful in its own way, so I guess it is just an alt strategy I have never really needed to employ.

I don't qualify myself as a potato, but even playing for years you can learn new things that make you feel like a noob, or forget things etc, this is definitely one of those for me.
