number 1 should be learn to play and put pressure on lrm carriers instead of desperately trying to hide from them
they will eventually get locks sooner or later and you will run out of places to hide
in the long run they will win the war of attrition/hiding game
the only way is to apply pressure to them, make them panic, distract them with fast mechs while the rest of the team closes the distance and slaughters them at close range
but apparently 90% of players cant figure this simple thing out and they keep hiding behind one another like squirrels

James, you're not a bad guy so let me explain. Yeah, I recognize that it's a joke but that kind of "humor" doesn't fit on these forums and it's not particularly funny. I think I've gone far past the possibility of being that guy who thinks nothing is funny when I make the type of threads I do, like this one.

Like that guy, who doesn't understand that the list is a joke - and probably only read the title.

By your same standards then this thread isn't the kind of humor that fits on this forum. You are not me or the person that made the joke. Life is too short to play thought police and demand political correctness when you, yourself, fail to do so.

I don't think you're a bad person either, but we are all different and we should be celebrating those differences not controlling other people's thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, Radar Dep is nice but it is also situational. I have only played maybe 3-4 battles where the LRM spam was so bad, I wanted to scream in frustration where as I played probably 20 or more where it was either negligible or at least tolerable. Also Radar Dep never once completely prevented me getting hammered or even killed by LRMs, all it did was give me an active way to break locks, by breaking LOS so it is really a very situational use sort of things. -5.25% heat generation is something I constantly use match after match.

Probably the biggest things lost when burying the Radar Dep in the Sensor tree was that when Radar Dep was a thing, LRM boat actually had to have the skill to spot targets on there own, Light mechs played alot larger role in information warfare by being required for Indirect LRM fire spotting and there was alot less rage and frustration at being LRM'ed to death without being able to do much about it. I think we ended up with a lose-lose situation myself.

Your friend isn't here to get a high match score or contribute to the team in damage, but by eliminating LRM spam!

Don't forget to invest heavily in the Survival Branch of the skill tree. Both for AMS and to survive longer in matches! If you don't have 6 points to spare? Take some from Mobility or Operations!

Rocks also provide... ...solid cover from LRM spam.

Surprisingly, a roof can also be effective in preventing LRMs raining down from above and onto your poor, unsuspecting mech.

To summarize the few ways to survive the latest LRMpocalypse.

1.AMS.
2.LAMS (when available)
3.Bring a friend with AMS.
4.Bring a Unit member with AMS.
5.Buy a unit/friend with AMS.
6.Stay near rocks. They're always your friend!
7.Stay under cover, preferably, a rocky one.
8.Dodge TAG lasers.
9.Avoid NARC.
10.Bring ECM, and maybe invest in the Sensor tree.

Follow any of these simple tips and you'll be certain to survive the oncoming storm.
