I would not mind a ruined city in flames.. this is what River city used to be before the reworks.. It does not need to be "nuked", a single assault mech can do alot of damage to a city.. Then imagine what a galaxy of mechs, aerial bombardment and artillery could do..
Yes, a nice burning, ruined, war-torn city with bunkers, road blocks and civilian shelters, with sandbagged buildings.. yes.. that would add somewhat to immersion..
Does not need to be brawl-friendly any more than River City..

I liked the idea of a nuked city it have the horrors of the past feel, that just conventional weapons in the battletech universe simply don't have, you have worn torn areas but they can be rebuilt in time but a whole bombardment of a nuclear holocaust is not something you just rebuild from, it's a reminder of the lengths one go to achieve victory even if it means turing a world to a desolate desert.
Also theirs not many brawling maps in the game River barely even a brawling map consider most people just sit around and fire weapons beyond 600m sq, too many maps are large just for sniping matches alone, and it make brawling difficult. Even with cover to move from it doesn't stop the opposing team to re position and began wearing down the pushers to the point they can't afford another push. I advocate a tight nit brawling map because A sniping is boring and with the skill tree it have been increase by a large margin, and I'm finding less and less people bringing medium or short range builds unless they're in a light or a fast medium. It just become a stale wait fest til one side decide to push, I'm finding myself playing youtube videos and messaging friends on the ps4 while waiting for the great push.
