Plus, it's tactical, not strategy.

Honestly, the only thing that bothers me and why I am still reluctant to pay for it is: WHY THE HECK DIDN'T THEY USE TT VALUES??????
Really, one missile making 5 damage........an AC20 doing what...80 damage? I mean, what the heck! Ok, it's only a minor issue but a very important one!

They increased all of the numbers by 5x(armor and weapons) in order to allow for more variety in weapon manufactures etc.. It looks strange, but it actually works out exactly the same and leaves room for some interesting things.

Granularity is the reason. But then again, tabletop never had an AC20+.1...20 was 20 was 20.

I am encouraging supporting this because I think not only is it on a solid foundation, it also has great potential.
Its coming at a time when shooter games are starting to show fatigue in the market, and while strategy and tactics games are not just going strong, but also growing stronger.
This game not only can revive interest for Battletech fans that are put off with shooting games and will only play strategy and tactical games, but this game also has the potential to cross over with XCOM and Front Mission fans.
The game engine used is Unity, which is a prolific cross platform game engine. This game has the potential to cross over to console and mobile in the future, enlarging its potential player base.
