If a light 'mech for IS was on the docket, things with much more reasonable weapons loads/hardpoint potential are available- heck, we could have even finally got an IS omni such as the Raptor or Owens.
Is this something to do with popularity in MW4? Was there a poll I never saw? Can anyone explain?
The other 'mechs I at least understand (though I'm still wondering where the Turkina is for the Clans).
If you really want a light mech with a locked engine, locked ferro and endo, and locked single heatsinks, ask for the owens, or the other IS omnis.... and watch only the most hardcore fanboys take them...

Mmh not sure thats true as some of the IS Omni's are rather good. It would also round out the IS side a bit.

Not sure, its the first mech I've contemplated not buying on looks grounds alone. I'm sure it didn't look this bad in MW4 but thats probably my rosy eyed reminiscing.

But still no premium time in the packages? Sadly that is a dealbreaker for me, will have to wait for the c-bill release.

Nightstar - looks a bit like an IS Supernova but cockpit placed differently
Arctic Wolf - a buffed clan Griffin? at least the srm potential? may not have the same tonnage but with clan tech about the same survivability and even more dmg potential
Nova Cat - slightly bigger Night Gyr, but with easier to focus CT/ST (looks like a rounded-up dragon, will probably have the same problems but with the advantage of clan tech)
wont buy any of these because i dont have the money atm but honestly? could have been worse. much worse.

Clan Falcon developed the Night Gyr and Clan Nova Cat developed the Nova Cat as their totem mech after seeing how effective it was. Mechanically the Nova Cat is slightly lighter and less ballistic/ jump jet based at least in table top.

Gyr is Falcon, Nova Cat is.... somewhat obvious.

288 days for the Nghtstar is pretty nuts, especially for a mech that is going to be so obviously strong out of the box.
Also, I'd like to say that removing premium from the base packs is seriously scummy. PGI is getting greedy, with the people who are actually helping to keep the light on for them.

Well, they are removing the MC cost from private matches at least.
