How does one tell if its a battlemech or an omni?

Look at the store page.

The ones with listed fixed equipment slots and no engine cap are the Omnimechs. The ones with no fixed slots and listed engine caps are Battlemechs.

New Roadmap post went up too. No new Maps until September or later. Life is suffering.

Finally IS gets a meta mech.

Because the Victor and Highlander were never meta...nor was the Gaussapult...or the splatapult...or the Poptart CTF...or the BK....or the WHM...or the BNC...or the BLR...or the TDR....or the JR7...or the FS9...or the MAL....or the AS7...or...what the hell...you get the point.

seems strange that very few of those mechs actually have Civil War tech in them...

People who preordered the Annihilator are fools. Did they not think the Night Star and Devestator were in the pipeline?

Its either poor impulse control or potato syndrome thinking quad LBX is good.

Just how dumb are you? Victor and Highlander meta was back in 2013--BEFORE Clan mechs were introduced to MWO. Catapults were even further back. All the mechs you have listed were at their most powerful back in 2012-2015 at the latest, back when there were less competition. That's 2 years gap.

When did the wubshee ever get bad? The BLR? MAL is back now, too...by the way. The WHM is *STILL* meta now, too...

How stupid are you to insinuate that there are no IS mechs in the meta? Seriously?

Pull your head out.

I said many of those mechs were their most powerful back in 2015 at most. Never said some of them were still not meta. The fact remains that IS did not receive any new meta mech for a long while while the Clans received IIC mechs and NGyr. Your list simply proves that.

Those Nova Cat's hard point locations are just...awful on a 70 ton omni mech. At least the pheonix hawk can get (slightly) away with it by being fast.

The Osiris will live or die by its size. Poor Jenner just cant catch a break.

Arctic wolf. Holy splatman, Batman!

That nightstar hard points as well. I guess it depends if its modeled similar to the marauders or timberwolf.

All in all I give it an F, since there is no Kraken or Stone Rhino.

I just hope it's not a chronological order

I don't recall the Marauder IIC being multiple clan IIC mechs....

What do you mean? MAD-IIC, HBK-IIC, Orion-IIC, they are all meta right now.

I wasn't referring to the meta. I was referring to the release time in between the Night Gyr and The Marauder IIC, and how it looked like different IIC mechs were released during that time frame according to your post.

My god. This day just got better.

Osiris!

Nightstar!!!!

Arctic Wolf!!

NOVA CAT!!!!!

.o. We are going to have a lot of mechs in this game soon. With new tech too.

Why I'm happy? These are mechs I used to play in MW3 and MW4. Nostalgia. Plus, we could start remaking the intros too...

One thing I'm glad to see with the two Civil War sets is the departure from the standard leg designs. The Uziel and Osiris have offset knees and the Arctic Wolf and Nova Cat both have proper digitigrade legs.

No premium time included in the standard packs, only 30 days (unbanked) included in the collector' packs.

Unfortunate.
