Technically, by lore the Omnimechs would be the superior option and most commonly used. Meanwhile the battlemech versions are outdated and an inferior choice. So the Omnimechs being front and center make sense.

That being said, buy or don't buy, its your decision. However, the reasoning behind what variants they put where is usually silly, as they tend to follow simple order or lore reasons.

Ehh, I feel like the Omnis have more free will on what they can take, and the battlemechs have more freedom on how much they can take.

But crap, a 40 ton Clan Battlemech that can mount 9M hardpoints? That's pretty much a supped up Jenner IIC, without Jump Jets. Probably won't use all the hardpoints since it can't use all of them effectively -

Oh crap. That's right. LRMs.... pugs will ruin this mech ._.

an ATM 3 that comes with free artemis has a weight of 1.5 tons. It all depends on how the weapon pans out from PGI.

I doubt the 9 missile variant sitting behind even bigger paywall is an accident.

They could have added the atlas variant that does that. All this means is that I will have to add more ammo so I have enough to chew through more armor to kill them.

Also, because they were all sorts of insane and the rest of the Nova Cats didn't stop them because they figured that "he who is stoned should not toss the first stone....."
