4 PPCs in those high mounts though...

Under-gunned and over-hot. Without the splash, it's not shredding fast enough to be worth it against the likes of LPL and ERLL.

You might get twin HPPC and ER Medium laser backup. That could be interesting at mid-close, with a 50 damage alpha on a big LFE with a good number of DHS. Alternatively, LPPC spam; energy AC/5, sort of. Depends on how PGI does the LPPC cool-down and, even then, the BNC-3E can do it better by combining LPPC with actual AC/5.

The Arctic Wolf having all the omnis in the basic pack means you won't have to wait 8 months to buy additional omnipods. That's kinda neat.

Oh good. A clan medium mech that can mount 9 srm 6's. As if the huntsman wasn't ridiculous enough in scouting matches.

If the faction warfare changes are good and will reignite it, they should have left this preorder until after that drop. Of course, if they know the changes won't matter all that match, may as well do it now.

Finally IS gets a meta mech.

Heh, wont ditch my Banshees because of the Nightstar anyday. The ban is also be much faster. They will surely complement eachother. One chicken walker for head on assaults and a humanoid for brawling and toughness.

Kanajashi released his "Should you buy?" videos. Here's the Nightstar's

Definitely agree it'd be good for my ocd if the engine cap got boosted to 350. WTB an even number lol.

Well unless you talking about the battlemechs then sure they gonna be a pain but the omni not many chooses other than ecm with arms or laser or both. And the Huntsman is easy to pull apart.

The Nightstar 9FC can mount a 400. =)

No.

It was always gambling on boated RACs.

Who the **** has ever bought mechs for stock builds? 100 tons, plentiful arm and torso ballistic mounts. RAC firehose of hate. Like the elephant scene in Freddy got Fingered but with RAC5s.

That's why the Annihilator.

N.O.P.E.

Any of those mechs that are good will get the spirit bear treatment.

It's a 40 ton 'Mech, basically a fat Light.

IS are getting SSRM6, if you have trouble hitting fast things.

I'll let you do the math here.

Osiris = 2 energy CT....
But one is on it's chin and one is on it's head?!?
If I equip a light PPC, the head mount better be first priority!

Got the standard + reinforcement Osiris because 30t IS is my game (hero is kinda meh).
I just want to pay for the 'Starry Night' Nightstar - that is just plain epic, I can't wait to see it in 3D.

Not sure how we can determine "stronger", but I'd bet that they most certainly will be.
For example, the Nightstar will be the new IS meta assault. I suspect that the Battlemaster gets a nerf to make sure that that happens. Even in the absence of that, it will certainly be as good as and probably better than the Banshee.

I agree about the Nightstar. With its Marauder-like Geometry and high mounts including Ballistics it is likely going to be the top IS Assault mech in the game. Its only real flaw is its speed. Of course PGI can give it the Direwhale treatment as well and give it really low acceleration, deceleration, turn and torso twist characteristics which could make it kind of DOA but lets hope that is not the case.

Twin Gauss + HPPC on the NSR-9FC with an XL 375 ought to be almost as gnarly as the MC-II. Alternatively, twin UAC/10 with twin Snub-Nose PPC.

Not sure speed is really a huge issue, though. Slow and tanky seems to be the in-thing at the moment.

Sure, here's a bit of math for you - it's 54 SRM's in a volley. I'm afraid I don't see how IS having streaks makes clan SRMs magically bounce off like rubber balls.

Is ssrm6s. Like the Clan ones but bigger, heavier and likely less range.

No more buying packs like this after the skill tree. I will wait until after the real play results come out. The assassins I bought are the worst I have paid for out of all the Mechs I have for the fighting style I do.

At least IS SSRMs have the same cooldown as normal SRMs, giving you 50% more DPS than the CSSRM6. It's not a literally direct upgrade anymore, although you can still argue which one gets the better end of the deal if you want.

It's also worth noting that even the lowly IS SSRM2 has equal DPS as the twice as heavy/bulky CSSRM6 (at the cost of much less alpha strike damage though).
