I cannot understand why mechpack offer hasn't changed with new skill tree.

Which is the sense to offer 3 basic mech per pack, and then also 2 add on + hero??

It's not needed anymore to level.

SO, I'm interest in buying ONE Novacat, 2 Osiris (one basic, + in add on), and 1 Artic Wolf.

So, with 5-6 $ per mech, I would give 20-25$ from my wallet.

Instead with this system, PGI willl gain ZERO $ from me.

And both of us, me and pgi, will be disappointed....

They talked about changing these up after the skill tree maybe they just haven't got around to it.

Issue I have is they don't give you prem time anymore unless you get a collectors pack I have never wanted. I have yet to buy any new pack due to this.

They will get around to fixing this once it becomes apparent - to them* - that it's broken.

* Their loyal customers have been warning them for months about how 3-Mech Pack sales were going to fall off a cliff. But I guess if you insulate yourself from customer feedback like PGI does then you should expect to get unpleasant surprises.

I don't think that the point of 3 mechs + 2 +1 in the mechpaks was ever the leveling thing ...

Rather a "collect them all" approach.

If I'm buying mechs for cash why not get all? Otherwise wait for cbill release.

This ^^^.

I'm sure they will offer and an la carte style deal here soon. I actually like the 3 mechpack, at least for IS. It basically lets you tinker with loadouts till you figure out what works for that mech. Plus some mechs will surprise you, they might look like crap on paper, but once you get in it you may find it just "works".

Though, for Clan, those are less valuable. Unless the mech is a battlemech, there is less motivation in buying 3 chassis instead of just one and buying the pods. Well, there is, if you want to run multiple variations of the same mech but have 3 of them...but most the time you just swap out parts real quick and take her out for a spin.

I liked to be a whale, also because I was having fun leveling 3 variants and master them.
But now it has no sense: there is no more levelling grind for 3.

You can pick the one you like more, and master its 91 node.

Maybe for someone.

But you needed 3 variant to master them, no matter what. And that's why pgi HAD TO release at least 3 variant for every chassis.

Now, you can always "chatch'em all", if you are interest.

But what's the point to buy 3, for those ones not interest in collecting anymore?

What are you folks complaining about? You're supposed to buy Mech packs. So:

Go buy a Mech pack!

I'd like to see the rule of 3 come back in a different form. Instead of gating progress on your mechs, unlocking skill points for different variants should give bonus XP and reduce the C-bill cost of nodes.

I like it. I like the variety. I like the higher chance there will be more than one variant of a mech that I actually want to play.

I liked the rule of 3. In Jump to Lightspeed there were 3 squadrons for each faction. Imperial, Rebel and Privateer. You could master one of them fully but if you for example had mastered Imperial Storm Squadron and then decided to master Imperial Inquisition Squadron you got an XP bonus. If you after that Decided to master Imperial Black Epsilon you got an even bigger bonus.
It would make sense from a logical/lore perspective. If you've mastered a mech, mastering an almost identical mech should go faster the second time around.

Wait until spring of 2018. Then you can buy them individually for MC. Wait a little longer and you can buy them individually with space bucks. They won't cost you a dime.

Eh, i'd probably wouldn't buy any mechpack that didn't include a Scorpion at this point.

They just need to unstack the mechpacks, so that we can purchase each tier separately. Still standard, reinforcement and hero, but purchasable individually rather than lumped together through payment tiers. If I want the hero or reinforcement pack, I can purchase those without the standard pack.

A little more a la carte, while maintaining the Pokemech aspect of sales.

I think the biggest problem is that the variants aren't all that different from each other. I'm not against buying six mechs but they've got to at least be six different mechs not two or three.

The old IS mechs made up some of the difference by having a wide range of quirks, but now that we are getting mostly quirk free mechs the differences are minimal.

e.g. The Javelin where it was mostly missile hardpoint variations and the Phoenix Hawk where it was mostly energy hardpoint variations

Fortune n' glory. Sex, drugs, rock n' roll. Truth, justice, and the Clan way. French fries n' salt. Pokémech and money.

Big Smoke Jaguar: I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.

I want all of them! I'm a poke-mech master! If you only want one variant, wait for C-bill release. Seriously? Why is this an issue? You know, if they move to a per mech sales model, it will end up costing you even more. Right?
