I find that people seem to vote Assault over incursion generally. Can we swap it for domination instead?Posted Image Not that I hat dom... its just I hate the layout of dom on some maps.

Quite annoying when enemy heavy mechs can beat your locust to the capture area just because they spawned in much closer.

Incursion is in a way a kind of replacement for assault mode. However it needs much improvement and they need to remove one of the bases so only one side is attacking and one side is defending. This would effectively make it 2 modes in one! One mode is base attack and the other is base defend! Its pure genius. Which means PGI will never do it...

Right, but do it like they did Escort. Don't let either side know if they're attacking or defending until after you drop. That's the best part.

I disagree, Incursion has a tendency to turn into a race to the enemy base, not really what I'm looking for (at least assault mode let's you stop the enemy's capture by shooting at them, incursion ends when the buildings are destroyed)

But I win a lot in Incursion because I intentionally let the enemy to rush our base and then cut them down. Just gotta be smart on this.

incursion would be better in quick play if only one team defended. balance it accordingly.

I agree, but there's always the option to have that as a separate "new" game mode.

Oh please no. Incursion is the least fun mode in the game, only followed by conquest. Two modes where you are encouraged not to fight.

No mode can beat Escort mode when it comes to being bad. I advocate the removal of Assault mode cause it is a redundant mode.

Yeah, going for objectives is the point.. The problem with those two modes is that people don't seem to get that you don't have to fight all the time and that every mod SHOULD NOT be skirmish..

Personally, I would remove Assault mode and leave incursion.. I love that they will replace assault with incursion in FP, and was quite pissed off that they made Incursion as a separate mode in the first place..

It was always intended as an upgrade of Assault mode, and I felt cheated that they left a bad mode in the game under the pretenses of adding content..

It was a simple cheat on their part..

Plus, I truly wonder when will the large majority of the players realize that destroying a base element is worth 25000 Cbills, and its ALOT MORE PROFITABLE to ignore the last guy and go for the base..

I think the sole reason Assault mode exists is to make potatoes screw up, due to making them think there is an objective besides 'kill all enemies'.

There are ways to have objectives and still keep people fighting. Domination is a great example.

I'm not opposed to teamwork based modes, and escort is a good example of a mode that requires teamwork and people fighting. Sadly escort needs some work to make it more fun though.

You summed up my point though when you said it's better to ignore the last guy and go for the base. Incursions encourages people to ignore fighting and just go for the base. That's an incredibly boring style of gameplay for many people, especially since you can't pick a loadout for the mode in QP. Dropping into incursion on polar with a slow mech is just frustration.

It's one of my least liked modes in MW:O. That and Escort.
