That assist in a light challenge was overall horrible. Some games you'd get 8-11 ... then 1 as none of the 6 lights on each side wanted kills and the rest seemed incapable of taking advantage of kills being handed to them on a plate. It didn't take long overall but there was an extremely frustrating run of 1 assist per game for 4 games in the middle which was plain stupid.

The clever people finished right at the start then changed to heavies etc to pad out their kill scores I noticed.

Was nice to then get the super easy - 2 wins in the normal solo queue.

The worse part, aiming for and legging other mechs while almost everyone else kept shooting torso locations.

You were missing the meta-challenge:

How to trick your teammates into killing the target when they were just trying to get the assist.

It's a bit harder, admittedly, but so much fun!

I'm a casual player, single parent with full time job, and completed every single challenge so far with ease, except killing 30 uav's, got just 22 of them, i just want to say it's a great and doable event for almost everyone with fantastic rewards!

I'm doing the event on two accounts. Its all easily doable and the time they gave for each challenge is appropriate to the degree of difficulty.

Probably because he can't shoot back and/or is perma-drunk

Thanks for posting that so I didn't have to. AND I DM a Pathfinder RPG on Tuesday nights as well.
I only got 5 UAVs though.

I got my Assassination Challenge reward yesterday, but I couldn't find my Target2 Decal within the camo menu. Is it only applicable to some particular mech? Or am I missing something?

Mechlab / Camo spec / (pattern / colors / decal ).

Owned decals / all.

As decals open, it shows new decals only, as new in game.

I was in a group both times...
