My first target runs behind cover so I'm moving and shooting, switch to a second target, an enemy heavy. I don't even have time to get targeting data on him because he gets a crit by my LB-X pellets at 600 metres. Someone must have opened his internals. It was a good laugh.

It was wow, that's a lot of damage. It was also ew, because holy crap that was really badly placed damage.

I double tapped him with my ERPPC Warhawk from long range.
Boom.

Again,my Supernova lurmboat, (rapidly becoming favorite mech), this time, QP on Grim Plateau. So I'm lurming away as always, and the enemy keeps flanking us, attacking on all sides it seems. So I send lrms this way and that, in all directions, to any target I can lock. This goes on and on, and it seems my LRMs are hitting, and the enemy mechs are dying. I rack up kills and KMDDs, and then, tragedy - I run out of missiles. I'm like OMG, you're telling me I used up 2500 missiles?! HOW?!
Oh well.. down to my backup lasers..4 smalls.. And then I notice, its 11:8 (or something like that, don't remember) on the kill counter.. Last enemy is a locust.. and he's going after me.. I proceed to engage it, and shoot mah lazorz.. and then a teammate takes the kill.. I'm like, phew, that was a hard-won match..
I look at the victory screen.. and see I did 3 kills, 4 KMDDs and 1316 damage.. My all-time highscore for a QP match..
The next guy behind me damage wise in the whole drop did 858 (enemy player).
I was genuinely shocked and awed of myself.. and then again, the ewwww part was when I realized I did that much damage, spending 2500 missiles.. and most of those had probably hit. (I can only remember missing 2-3 salvos completely).
Like OMG that's alot of missiles..

- I'm in an Awesome 8V, back before dynamic weapons, so the 2 torso energy hardpoints fire from the same spot - this sort of matters. I get the blip of enemy contact - first in the match - twist to the left, fire a pair of PPC's from the torso, twist back and... I get the message that I killed somebody. With the first shots of the game. Except, I only did 20 damage. So, I asked in chat if I had headshot the guy. He replied, "yes..." I then asked how, since 20 damage won't kill a mech with decent head armor. Turns out he was in a Locust with 1 point of armor on his head. Yup - I could never do that again if I tried.
- Another one in an Awesome. It was Conquest on HPG manifold. We were way ahead on caps, but my team kept wandering off to die one by one time against some sort of ECM light sniper along one of the walls (a Raven, I think.) Well, soon enough, he kills the last few people left on my team and starts talking big about himself over general chat. I'd love to blow him away, but my mech is legged and has no weapons left. So, I just slink back near the center, find a nice corner, and shut down. He goes on and on in chat about how amazing he is... and soon loses the game because he was too busy hunting for me to notice the cap score. At that point, I commented to him that he was just beaten by a legged, weaponless Awesome
- Yet another one in an Awesome (I play them a bunch, but they seem to attract odd games for me.) Domination mode, Terra Therma. In the end, it was just me and some enemy light mech. With some VoIP guidance from my unit, I managed to set it up so he was stuck in the center circle since if he left, we'd win with 2 seconds left on our capture clock. This vastly limited his ability to ambush me since he could never leave the center. Eventually, he made a mistake and I killed him.
- Last one. I forget what mech, but it was River City. Everyone on my team but me is dead, and I have no weapons. I somehow managed to sneak up on an enemy Stalker... but what can I do without weapons? So, I just start to follow him casually around the map. When he stops, I stop, and when he starts up again, I go back to following him. This was long before everyone had Seismic on their mech; this silliness went on for a good minute or more with my team laughing hilariously over chat. Eventually, the Stalker stopped, turned slowly around - if it could have a confused look on its face, it would have - and killed me. I did manage to type "Hi!" over general chat before I died, lol.
Good times...

I'm trying to get up on the outside buildings to scout and zap away with ERLL, but the other team has really good suppressing fire and I get hit every time I poke out. I don't really have a good idea where they are concentrated, but I take a high jump on my way down off a building and spot and enemy assault on the way down; I drop an arty strike there.
I edge my way around but can't seem to find them until I come down one of the central ramps and end up in front of the assault i saw before ... and the rest of the assault lance. I get off one SRM salvo drop a second arty pretty much at my feet before getting evaporated.
A few seconds later I get two kill messages, right after my own death message. Turns out both arty strikes hit right in the middle of their assault lance, which was bunched up and cornered by our guys.

Still lose the match. Then see that a guy on the enemy team did 1300 damage.

WOW. Nice!

2000+ damage with LRMs? How much ammo do you have on that thing?!
Also, while on the subject..
An amazing display of teamwork..
Yesterday, on Frozen City, Skirmish:
I'm in my Supernova LRM boat, and I'm pushing up into the upper city, following a good push and lurming the enemy.. Suddenly, this cheeky little light mech starts molest my rear torso.. I turn around, back up to a wall and pop a "please help, I'm being molested" UAV.
To my surprise and amazement, not one, but 3 of my teammates show up and actually defend me! They chase it off just enough for me to LRM it to death (I killed it myself hahaha!)..
I then turn around and continue to LRM enemy assaults to smithereens. They quickly go back to the front lines. We ended up decimating the enemy in a 12:1 stomp.. I had 4 kills and 5 KMDDs with 950 damage.
Note these guys were not some big unit members.. just regular PUGs..
I thanked my saviors for the assistance over VOIP.
It was the biggest display of teamwork I've ever had outside of a 12-man premade..
Yesterday was a good day for being a LRM boat.. similar "help" was given to me several times, and I in turn gave even more amazing results in kills and damage.. but this one really stood out..

Seriously, if you want to do something noteworthy, do something risky. Like run a mixed build or something.
Or a light mech of the non meta variety.

So, QP, Skirmish on Canyon Network.. I'm in a SNV-A LRM Boat.. I'm lurming away all match, and score 1 kill and 3 KMDDS.. and end up being the last man alive. My LRM's are spent. All 2700 of them, and I'm down to just my lasers. 4 ER Smalls.
The last guy is a smart Cicada pilot. He out-ranges me and is fast enough for me to have to put my rear torso to the wall. Sadly, Even though I managed to bloody his legs, and almost leg him, I was already to severely damaged, and he killed me, so we lost.
I'm still proud of myself for holding on as long as I did.
The EWWW part: Someone from the enemy team, after we lost, writes in chat "LRM noob".
The WOW part: I get the score screen. I did the most damage in the whole match.. more than any on my OR the enemy team. 1099, 7 more than the second best, and more than the guy who insulted me.
So much for "lrm noobs" eh?

Yesterday, my GF and me are dropping the FP event together. We have identical dropdecs - 2 LRM boat Supernovas, and 2 Cheetahs.
So we drop Domination on Alpine peaks.. we both select our LRM Supernova as first drop, and I see another player with a SNV-A also selected, and put him in our lance, so we have 3 amazing LRM boats.
So we drop, and we all move up to that new hill just behind the Antenna. I take command and call shots, and ask for UAV's on proper locations. Any enemy that peeks or rushes is cut down by our LRM's, and the Irondome Kitfox in our team, along with a bunch of brawlers are protecting us. It was one of the finer examples of good team play that I've ever seen outside of a 12-man premade. The pugs listened, and it turned out that our three LRM boats completely dominated the match. All missiles spent, we charged with secondary lasers, only to die and drop another LRM Supernova. Domination continues.
The wow part: So we win 48:21, and it turns out all three of our Lurmers did 2000+ damage, and everyone on the team did 1000+.. It was just a joy to play, it was a real trench-war, amazing teamwork, and a good example of how to play when you have LRMs in your team.
The ewww part: Felt sorry for the enemy.. cose' what ever mech they threw at us, even trying to flank and rush us, we would take down in seconds. Our LRMs blot-out the sun. It was terrifying. I would not like to have been on the other side of that 200+ LRM salvos heading my way..
Congrats to everyone who was in that match.. Hope we do it again. <3

So, I'm on HPG, FP Conquest.. My last mech is a Myst Lynx with 2 HML and CLRM10..
I'm running for the caps, and my team is doing a good job.. we have two cap points, and the enemy has 3..
So I head straight for one of the enemy caps that is located dead smack in their base.. On my way there, I pass not one, not two, but three freshly dropped mechs, and out of all of them, this Victor decides to chase me.. I get into the cap point, and keep playing ring around the rosie with him around the cap point..
he can't shoot me, I am much faster so I can poke at him from time to time, and since we're both in the zone, the enemy gets no points from said cap point.
This goes on for several minutes as we keep running around the zone's superstructure, and he is furiously trying to kill me, I keep evading him and poking a few shots.. I actually menage to core his right torso, but since my team was ahead in the caps when I disabled the enemy's third zone, we actually win..
WOW part: Me and the Victor were locked in a stand-off for the cap for several minutes, neither capping or managing to kill the other guy..
Ewww part: The Victor must have been cussing me up a storm, I was totally messing with him the whole time, poking him with my lasers and evading his fire. He looked like a ripe buffoon trying to run around and get me, with me teasing him the whole time

Incursion, Polar Highlands. Was the last one left on my team - and they had only one left on their team. They had a legged LRM Stalker with an open, cherry red CT. I'm in a NARCed, legged KFX with clear LOS to the Stalker. My CT is also cherry red.
He fires a LRM salvo. I fire PPC shots back. My double PPC blows up his CT and he falls over. His LRMs, still in flight and locked onto the NARC on my KFX, hits me on the CT and my CT also goes pop.
Cue in the most awkward draw of all time.

I figure the poor guy had to be lagging or suffering some high ping. I can only imagine his teammates yelling at him to just turn and kill me.
Battlemaster dies to trashcan. Eww. But I won it for my team, so wow and yay!
Edit: And now that I think about it a bit more, I also had an Eww (or uh-oh) moment, when I realized that I was left alone to fight the BLR.

Started chasing him in my Yen Lo. He turned and ran away and I managed to plug him once in the back with the AC/20 and that was his game over.
I felt bad but he said in chat "AC/20 hey?" to which my reply was "Yen Lo Wang ;-)" so at least he understood what happened

In a recent game I had one of these moments for an opponent, we were about 3 mechs up in a skirmish and their team had just pushed an edge and given me and a few mechs a beating, I took cover near death, and a guy popped around the corner beside me and fired some set of weapons directly into my cockpit in a splat volley, it left my head slot on cherry red, and I bowled into him in panic/fury, killing him..
In the moment I was like, "yeah take that!", but after while I did feel a bit gross, because if he had actually just gone for my CT he would have killed me, and my head must have been less than 5 health from dying. Poor guy lol, it's not like he did badly, just unlucky.
