Look, ballistic crab hands needs some kinda dakka, pretty sure there is a rule about it... It basically gets the extra energy slot the ENF-5P needed. If you're brave, dual AC5 - if you're out for fun, dual AC2; I mean what builds aren't good with LPL and Artemis something-or-other...
Mine will have MG's, because it looks cool and I like fast Crabs (no zombie weapons, so XL is game).

Been searching the forums but cant find anything on how the lights will toggle on/off?
they could use the same button as centurions or catapults use for the missile bays, no? i mean since the urbie does not use missiles and therefore does not need the button for this, it should be possible to link it to the lights, maybe with a little nod in the cockpit saying "lights on/off" or something. maybe its even possible to link the horn/siren to that button as well (or at least it would be absolutely awesome and lead to a urbie-week for me )

First, an *True* UrbanMech would have one-shot that locust easily.
Second, UrbanMechs don't "dance". This unsavory behavior is better relegated to delicate prancing little phoenix hawks and such.
Perhaps your little backwater cult does not approve, but fortunately the Church of Urbielightenment is not constrained by such small, backwards thinking.

that would rather devalue the point of an exclusive hero.

Perhaps someone in PGI's Staff could take notice of the "Urbanmech Iic -- Clans Need Their Urbienlightenment Too [Poll]" thread, and make that Mech arrive? With a listed Production Year of "2849" on the Sarna BattleTech Wiki, it should already be available.
~D. V. "Okay, so we have the 'UM'... Come on, where's the 'UM-IIC' already?" Devnull
actually, it wasn't in response, as the IIC predates the Invasion, considerably. As the listed production date should prove. And maybe someday it will be. But like everything else Clan, it'll just be a glossy knock off of the real things, so......

As that button also controls crab pincers, Kodiak claws, and Archer bay doors... Yeah, stands to reason that's what they'll do.
I know mine are going on in every single match, always.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, I DIDNT KNOW THAT! what happens when you dakka with closed pincers? and what can the kodiak do with its claws? i got 4 of them and i had no idea they could do something with them beside looking scary for a non-available melee
seems the button works on many mechs for different stuff as you said this would definively be an option.
@Bishop "The Hammer" Steiner: if you think about it, the quote from Robocop is even more fitting - even if just for the name of the character alone.

so basically the kodiak then works like a 100t Marvels wolverine? love what PGI implemented that maybe as a bit of hommage of a fellow canadian ^^
but yah, sirene and lights should work with that toggle button and im sure PGI allready planed to do so.

I wasn't referring to the 'Clan Invasion Era' when I remarked about it being a response. I simply meant that it was brought into existence by the Clans as an attempt to beat the I.S. Urbie in terms of design.

The UrbanMech would NEVER be rendered useless/underpowered/undergunned by the IIC version coming along. To give you an idea, I.S. Drop Decks can't use Clan Mechs. Further, there are people who would rather use an I.S. version instead of a Clan version. Haven't you noticed the long line of Orions, HunchBacks, and Jenners that are ALL Inner Sphere, and yet they're still used? If anything, the Urbie would enjoy having Clanner competition, as there would likely be variant designs that would only exist in the Inner Sphere, and designs that merely are found to be flipped in the Clans.

IS players would be forced to take Urbies just to have a hope of competing with the 3xUrbie IIc + KDK 3 meta...
