The Urbie has energy in what looks like the ST and not the CT? Was there an update I missed?

that is the million dollar question.

Katana Kat will be VERY fun when SN-PPCs are at thing next month... and it's Hero Skin is abso-frikking-lutely gorgeous.
Kaiju looks like a contender
K-9 gonna really benefit form that heat dissipation with my 5x ERSL build next month.

Mjolnir looks good, kind of meh on Quirks
Grinner looks boring as crap, on all fronts.
And most of the rest I kind of think....meh. Will probably get the Mauler at some point though to build me hero version

Still wishing Kaiju was based on the KGC-010 with missile/energy mounts in the side torsi. I really want to see one with mounts looking like the Zeus/Orion arms, bullet shaped with a ring of missile ports surrounding the PPC barrel. That would look so rad Posted Image

Ah well, it'll still be interesting to see how these new chassis work out next month when they can slap UAC10s etc. in some of those new ballistic mounts they didn't have before. Might not just be gauss/PPC... hopefully there's more variation from the tech than switching to snub-nosed PPCs... lol.

since that is a version that can be released as a loyalty or reinforcement model, I'm glad they didn't. I don't think ANY Hero should be based off a factory model.

They missed a quirk on the Urbie:

Awesomeness +1000000000%

So about those Urbie IIcs....

Should try doubling up on the aSRM6, IMO.

Well, the Crab didnt get UAC quirks but at least we now have a King Crab with armor/structure quirks.
I don't understand why PGI did not give a 100 ton assault mech with gigantic hitboxes any armor or structure bonuses.

SN/LPPCs will be interesting on a 6E King Crab...

not if you want room for heatsinks. Unless you mean drop the SNPPCs for them. In which case it wouldn't be my TT build, hence, defeating the point

That will be the first, and most likely only, Clan Mech I won't ever buy (not rc or cbills), or pilot. Dear God, please forbid this thing to happen. Most useless Clan Light ever. Thanks to the general balance bias of MWO it would even be worse than the IS version since "it's not allowed because Clan Tech" to have appropriate quirks.

Thankfully I can't imagine there would be any possible lore-fitting Hero variant available so some hope remains that this evil can be prevented.

Urbies are awesome, this is my opinion, but it happens to be dang close to fact.

That ain't a quirk, that's just a fact of life that some Tryhards can't compute.
Which is fine, cuz I'd hate to see them sully perfection with little metacrutch builds anyhow.

Am I crazy for wanting to roll with a 4xlpl & 4xlrm5 MAL KO? I've never used LRMs for any length of time.

D V,

They shaved 100m meters off the only weapons set that had a base max optimal range of 1000m.

If I could go back in time I would more than happily duel you (and not in a some tryhard epeen stroking way, more of a "lets break this down together way). I would try to see how firing lurms at any distance over 600m is remotely optimal, because if it is not, there is little to complain about because now, you can take advantage of the Sensor tree and its like you can get all the helper modules that you couldn't fit in a mech before all together.

Seriously, 50% of the Sensor tree is good for LRMs. You can get sensor range, target decay, etc. On top of that, you can buff your LRMs back up to 1000+ meters in the weapons tree. Sure you can't quite get 1100m but that goes back to my question of why fire from that distnace?

As you get your range back in the weapons tree, you can also get all kinds of missile-specific bonuses for ammo/crits/spread or just the regular CD/Heat/velocity bonuses you may never have had before.

Remember its not about how "long" your arc is, but how you use it! Posted Image

in a 1 vs 1 it surely isnt.It seems you not understanding how lrm´s have to be used properly.
So D.V. is right, for most people it simply boils down to BRAWLHALLA-ONLINE -_-

So if it is Brawl-halla online, why are so many people complaining about Night Gyrs with ER PPC/Guass builds sniping? This is the first I've heard in a while that brawling is a problem...

Furthermore, unless you are dropping in a group, LRMs at 900+ meters are not terribly reliable. If you have a group, you still need people dedicating time to make them viable, especially at that kind of range.

My point is that over 600m the effectiveness of LRMs diminishes significantly in most normal cases so demanding more near-useless range is not really sensible, especially when you are getting all kinds of other skills you could not compound before.

Add on that the insulting of those that want to do more than click on a locked target...

Uhhh, someone is getting personal. I'm already sooo angry, just as if you had hit a nerve. Good for you to have a carte blanche for ad hominem attacks on this forum, a part of Bishop's world, where all people that disagree with his opinion are punished with snide comments and called out being Tryhards that can't make sense of his superior insights and have to google for metabuilds all day to be able to keep him from getting to Tier 1. "Computing" facts is easier when you leave out all variables and end up with a very simple equation, eh? Well, to each his own.

lol...ut oh, somebody thinks the forums revolves around him again! Shocker!

Love it, some folks act like patronizing d-nozzles about everything that doesn't fit in their perfect metacrutch world... then get off ended when someone returns the favor. tsktsktsk

Learn to relax bruh. before you have like a stroke or something.

It's just I'd really like to see some other 30t Clan Mechs instead, that's all. If the Urbanmech IIC would have a different tonnage than the IS equivalent I wouldn't argue against it. But afaik they are literally the same with just different tech.

Now that is a fair, and reasonable opinion. If you lead with that, it makes a lot more sense. Besides, the amount of work that PGI would need to do is comparable to any other IIc so not really going to take away from their development too much...

Hi, all!
You were right about the CT Hardpoints on the Urbie.
Desktop, quirk Images, and promo video are from an early build while the mechs were going through the testing phase.

Here is an image of the hardpoints now!
