And no matter if you play any game mode until PGI stop rewarding kills the most then they may as well get rid of every other game mode except skirmish because playing the objective is a total and utter waste of time.

I know not of the tournament of which you speak, but in regard to the above...yes.

Damage does more than enough. You don't need kills to meet the match score. You can also use AMS, UAVs, and many, many other elements to increase your match score. Sure, kills and damage are the most lucrative, but unless you are a pacifist, getting 100 match score in FP should be a cake walk. Unless you got carried hard to victory, barely being present in the fight.

1.) What Ced Riggs said. So your complaint is completely invalid to begin with.
2.) The tournament does not only consist of the Faction Play Victory challenge (as you can clearly see here). So that again makes your complaint completely invalid.
Speaking of time waste

I'm sorry but how did you not get 100 score in two Faction Play drops...wherein you won?
Acting as a meat shield without firing and maybe dropping a UAV should have gotten you 100 points.
I feel cheated. I thought you were complaining about some "tournament" with QP modes other than skirmish, which is an actual topic dear to my heart, because of how much I hate incursion. Change the damn thread title please.

Edit: I see I misread. You did win by merely capping. Play some more drops. You will be ok.

Very easy. It's called an objective rush. The damage you do against the gens and the Omega doesn't count towards you match score, or at least it didn't back when I played FW. It used to piss me off royally, because if the team was doing an objective rush, you had to basically ignore the DC's orders and farm the enemy mechs for damage if you wanted to get your event challenges done.

Even when the Thunderbolt spam was a thing and you'd lose mechs in seconds thanks to that thing's insane quirks for PPC's almost everyone clan side pulled at least 100 points.
Wat?
Also, about 1/2 of the challenges or more so far have not been kill based. Hell they just gave you 4 straight days of shoot UAV's or discover people with them. And that was after a bunch of damage based ones.
I don't even.

What, ignoring the DC's orders, or doing an objective rush? If you are referring to the latter, then It's just a different kind of fun. A lot of people, inlcuding myself, are tired of playing endless deathmatches. Sometimes you want to do something different instead of just trying to rack up as much damage as you can. I remember always volunteering to be the rabbit when our team used the smoke dive tactic in scouting

Na, the whole 1st wave rush people used to occasionally do in CW. That is what I was referring to. It's been such a long time since I've seen it (or regularly played it) that I forgot that "base rushing" was even a thing. I mean its one thing to base rush to take down the gens and turrets in prep for the final gun push, but to just rush it immediately and take it down has always seemed, well, lame to me. To play a shooty mech game without the shooty part has always struck me as sort of a waste.

Pleanty of noobs doing less than 200/4 = 50 dmg per mech.
Uncarriable.
And boring seals on the enemy team.

I have screenshots of winning OBJ rush matches with match scores,of 15 or so. Its actually quite easy.
That being said, still dont see this as a problem. If your opponents are so weak they cannot contest a base rush enough for you to earn 100ms.....just move on to the, next match, and fight again.
