Black Knight Sensor Quirk

Second. Are we losing valuable weapon quirks... for that?
Third. Why are only 1 or 2 Black Knights getting the sensor quirks when, if memory serves, all of them had the advanced computer in TT?

2) Yup. It's pretty stupid.
3) *Checks quirk PDF* Well, the only explanation I can possibly offer is that the 6 and the 6b were Star League era variants, while the advanced computers in the 7 and 7L were replaced with more readily available Succession Wars era gear.

There's a difference - direct fire works optimally if one can aim. LRMs need a whole host of things to be right (sightlines, lock, no terrain/structures/obstructions for LRM pathing) and only needs that cursor to do the work mostly (and that's with many side caveats too).

"
The centerpiece of the Crab is its Dalban Series K communications system with an integrated 650 RND targeting-tracking system. It monitors all radio and short-wave bands to not only determine the 'Mech's exact location on a world but the approximate location of other units, friend or foe, without the use of satellites. The system was smart enough to predict enemy movements and project a path towards a given location while avoiding their notice."

Sensor range is a lot more useful if you fired stuff at long range...
Near useless quirk is still useless.

Its obvious that PGI nerfed the 6 to ensure the Partisan is the best variant, i would ask for buffs for the rest of the Knights, but thats not going to happen as some idiot thinks that by nerfing all other variants it will somehow make the Partisan look good. idiots.
there is a reason i quit whaling 6 months ago, this just reinforces that i shouldnt part money.

They're trying to differentiate the models by removing nearly all of the offensive quirks (Not that there were many left) and adding sensor range to one model and meager armor quirks to another... Sigh.
At least they're getting a mobility boost... Not that they actually needed it.

I really like the idea of an info gathering quirk, Or retention, that could be great for a brawler.

In MWO it will be the other way around. And that's silly.

Is the BK 6 now the overall king of nerfs or does some other mech have that honor?
