Sorry to post twice, just moved to the correct forum.

So, after the new patch, my 8GB AMD RADEON RX480 is not supported. Any idea why? The system recommendation is RADEON HD 7870. Pretty sure I have that beat.

I've got the exact same message from the game. I own the same card, I think. Mine is made by MSI.

Hey all,

Can everyone running into this issue here send me a ticket over at technical@mwomercs.com? We need to get some more diagnostic information here from everyone to look into what can be causing this.

Thanks,

Maybe it is a directX error. Since I came back to play MWO (february 2017) I had 3 - 4 crashes a day. As I found out the problem was the overclocked (ex works) graphic card. I searched for the graphic card standard MHz and restricted it to it. (with ZOTAC Firestorm in my case) I got no "unsupported graphic cards" or other error messages with a crash after that.

Else it is an old Cryengine error message. There are other possible solutions:

Second solution: start MWO and other corresponding programs (like key binding macro or similar) as an admin.

Third solution: if PGI updated MWO with the latest version of the Cryengine you need directX 11 or the game wont start.

Fourth solution: you've a graphic card AND an onboard graphic chip and MWO does not detect the right graphic card. You might go to the (for instance) Nvidia control panel under 3D settings if you don't want to completely disable your integrated graphics for lower intensive stuff. You can select your graphic card there for 3d applications, auto, or integrated.

Fifth solution: try to use the MWO repair tool. Maybe you've a wrong entry somewhere in your settings.

Thats not the problem, its an Cry Engine error, it also lists the vendor and device IDs, so it knows which one it is.
I think that the list of supported GFX Cards got altered with the patch and some cards are missing.

Since the game runs fine if you click ok, its not really an issue, mainly an inconvinience.

Same here with MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming x 8G. Like Truesight said, the Cryengine Error box recognizes the correct card, confusion with an on board set is not the case i think.

It worked for months with this card and before with my old R390 also. I found an old thread from 2013 with the same issue:
http://mwomercs.com/...rted-videocard/
The hint with simultaneously running programs in Admin mode is not the case here as far as I can tell.

Ticket is on the way, ty.

I'm just assuming but you guys need the Dxdiag and the system information?
Anything more to add to that list or scrap something?

Nope. Already tried, but this solution didn't work.
