Was able to just click OK to the error message and still play but now the client just crashes completely after trying to login. Tried both the Steam client and the MWO client.
Everything worked fine before the patch and I've tried running as admin and updating GPU.
Game is completely unplayable now! Good thing I just bought all that MC!!!

Get this issue along with a green border on my machine which is running a ROG Geforce 780 Posiedon. Cant play because keyboard becomes disabled during gameplay and framerate drops to something horrible. Sending my diagnostics now.

Radeon RX 580 8gb, running 17.4.4 drivers on Win10 64bit with Game Mode disabled. I'm still getting the error pop up. The game launches and runs with the occasional crash but my fps has definitely gone down.

This is also affecting some players with other games. At least w/MWO you can still play the game. In other games (non-MWO) the launchpad will not allow the player to continue so they can play. They have to use the bypass patcher shortcut to play their games.

Question. Are you all using the new portal or the original launchpad (non-Steam)? MWO and the other games are using Awesomium, though atm MWO appears to only use it with its New MWO Portal. After hitting Play to get to the log in screen Awesomium process unloads. Other games use it not just as part of their Launchpad but in-game components too.

Quote

Awesomium is a flexible, windowless, web-browser framework that is meant to be used in your own applications. Think of it as if we took Chrome, chopped it into smaller, re-usable pieces, and served it to you on a nice shiny 32-bit BGRA pixel-buffer platter.

It is not an application, it is not a web-browser; it is a tool to add web-browser-like capabilities to another application.

Think of radical new browsing interfaces, multi-touch, HTML UI, in-game browsing, web-page capture, site scraping, automation, and awesome new web-browser mashups.

Okay, at least one launching via Steam. For the Steam one, is the game actually part of the Steam library or a linked shortcut? If a linked shortcut, does it launch the MWO Portal or the original Launchpad?

And I'm about to log the same issue.

It would be nice if PGI would perhaps mention that their game doesn't support one of the major brands of graphics cards.

I understand that this might not seem like a wise move from a business perspective but really... get some integrity PGI.

All,

getting the same error after building my new PC. In my case, the game actually crashes after a while, graphically as the sound and in game voice chat can still be heard as if nothing happened. I get a black screen and must reboot.

I believe I might have an issue with my card as the reboot requires me to completely cut the power using the power supply switch as both the power and reset buttons seems to be frozen, the do not respond anymore.
