The IS U-AC 20 has 7 shots per ton but fires a 3 shot burst, this equates to a ton of ammo being less than 1/3 of the damage of a ton of AC ammo. This is the same for U-AC 10s. Surely this is an oversight?

That 3 round burst should only count as '1' shell as far as the ammo counter goes. Think of it less as this:

Uh, no.
It takes all 3 shots to deal the 20 damage of the UAC/20. That translates to dealing 1/3 less damage per ton than an AC/20. So they're not equatable.
AC/20 ammo per ton: 7
UAC/20 ammo per ton: 7
AC/20 shots per trigger pull: 1
UAC/20 shots per trigger pull: 3
That's pretty well bugged.

That's pretty well bugged.
1t of AC/20 ammo should still be 140 damage
1t of UAC/20 ammo should still be 140 damage
The difference now is that the UAC/20 fires a 3 round burst to deal 20 damage but should only use 1 'round' of those 7.
What I was showing what the 40mm ammo cassette would be 1 round as far as the ammo counter goes, but the entire ammo cassette would need to be on target for the full damage....

No it fires 3 rounds from the ammo counter in game to deal 20 damage, 3 shots of the 7 provided per ton.

Well, in that case I would call that a bug on PGI's part then, as the cUAC/20 gets 28shots/ton (and C-AC/20 as well) and the cLB-20X get's 7 shots/ton. Now the cUAC/20 does a 4 round burst, so that 28 shots/ton matches up with 4x7=28, so the isUAC/20 should be seeing 21 shot/ton... Submit it as a bug then?

its a bug,
UAC20 should have 21Ammo(7x3 as per 3Round Burst)
UAC10 should have 40Ammo(20x2 as per 2Round Burst)
UAC20 should have 21Ammo(7x3 as per 3Round Burst)
UAC10 should have 40Ammo(20x2 as per 2Round Burst)

thanks, couldn't figure why i used 4 tons of ammo with 10 shots. Should've looked closer.
