In the spirit of testing, I put 3 MRM10s, 2 LPPCs and 2 ERML on a Quickdraw 4H.
The PPCs and the lasers were fine, but the MRM spray...that's really the only word for it ("mist" maybe) was ridiculous. MRMs just go everywhere at all ranges. They are so bad in their current form as to be functionally useless. I am really starting to think that the MRMs and the RACs are intended to be functional equivalents to the Clan heavy lasers stupid long beam duration. All three weapons systems are gimped by their difficulty (or impossibility) to focus, at all.

At least Clan Heavy Lasers do damage... and hit the target pinpoint. New IS tech does no damage and spreads like a wildfire!

What's hilarious is despite the spread already being hideous, they make it even WORSE for the 30 and 40.
Hasn't the poor thing suffered enough? LRM players try and compensate for spread with obscene numbers of missiles, but the 30-40 just...well...
At least they aren't lurmslow like ATMs are.

I been ok with the atms because of the tracking. They need to ramp down on the min range and could use more health because even 1 ams basically stops them.
If they did this i might even take them and im very anti lrms/streaks as they are junk

either that or more damage per missile
not sure which would be the better solution

Yep; if they keep their current spread, they'll need a much higher DPS/ton ratio than SRMs. That would require either increased damage per missile, or reduced cooldown.
Right now they have a lower DPS/ton ratio than the SRM6, even the MRM10 that is the same weight and slots as the SRM6, so they are pretty much useless.

Rather not very effective weapon with only mild range.
Buffing range at least to 550 will make it somewhat more useful.
For now laser spam specially from some truly underpowered and ugly mechs will wreck user of those MRMs.

Btw, I was powned by an awesome (huge barn door syndrome) with 4 snub nose PPCs with my MRM 120 Stalker (small frontal profile) this is how much MRM suck. It's like streaks but missing and with hit registry issues.
EDit: That duel was at point blank range, do not even consider MRMs beyond your usual SRM maximum range.
