As an alternative to Imgur, you can try Flickr

I never understood why anyone would willingly use photobucket to begin with.

photobucket has been crap for years.. but just recently it's turned into a 100% useless img hosting site. 7-10 years ago it was pretty popular so loads of older imgs from that era of the web got ****** over.

basically... screw you photobucket only good for dumping turds in

Yeah, Photobucket went full ******. I always sought their practices questionable, especially blasting me with ads every visit. Try Imgur.

As someone with over 2.5k images in an imgur gallery, including 500 mb gifs, I highly endorse Imgur to anyone that needs an image sharing site. They have occasional server hiccups, and those massive gifs aren't always going to upload first try, but it's WAY better than its competition.

At this point we all know that it's not because Imgur is better, it's just Photobucket is just far worse.

Wouldn't it be so much better if P.G.I were not so cheep, and allowed direct upload from your PC files.

I post pictures on H.B.S forums perfectly o.k, not posted a single one here.

I'm sure people will say get with the times.

However, the times should never ever be used as a piss poor excuse for not providing a proper service to it's customers.

Photo bucket might be one of the first, but the others will follow, because like them, they to will eventually get fed up with paying for the cost of hosting, for free, what P.G.I and other companies, with this shabby attitude, should be paying.

I just found out that my sig is still on photobucket as well. Luckily I already have an imgur and will switch easily tonight.

Makes you wonder/realise how much **** we have spread out over the interwebs. Remember kids, sites come and go but the data you stored there,...

I ran a FlickR for my Lego robbits...

Posted Image

... and imgur works fine without signing up. Just go to imgur.com, wait for it to load, Ctrl+V your image, then get the share link. Done.

FlickR is nice for a stream of images, Imgur is nice for galleries and quick dumps. Photo buckets is nice for hating yourself and everyone who has to click those links.

What I really want is webm support. Would make my life so much easier, since my larger gifs could finally be replaced
