I'll never forget...

In MW3, during the mission in the Port city of Durgan (Dergon?) I would clear out the entire map with my Annihilator... As I started passing under a bridge, I insta-died to a headshot... I reloaded the map, and went through it again, making extra special sure to kill everything before proceeding.... same thing happened again! It finally dawned on me, that I was hitting the head of my Annihilator against the side of the bridge and dying XD

In a lot of ways, MW3 was the most advanced Mechwarrior game we've ever had... It had terrain deformation, almost completely destructable environments, armor actually visibly chipped away exposing internal structure, you got cracks in your vis-screen if you took machine gun/ac fire to the face, Targeting Computers actually DID something, and magnificently accurate representations of what happens if you run into a wall per the above story...

Sure I can do that for you. What flavor do you want them in? AlphaStrike? Mid-Run?
Staring off into the distance silently contemplating the new meta?

Thanks!

Warhawk?

Nevermind, that's Smoke Jag...

We need the Turkina next <3

I would suggest the Jupiter or the Wakazashi. Those look pretty fun. Wouldn't mind seeing another 100 ton mech for the clan side since IS already has 3 (that would be including the Annihilator).

Bane!

(Turkina would be cool, too. I would love to see Alex's rendition of it)

Total dislike on the Annihilator.

Where do these arms and shoulders come from? And why is the belly so small?

This looks like a half baked band aid to stop the mech from being rubbish by bringing it more in line with the general MWO design.

Hint: If you would have stayed true to the original design (sarna) you could have gone with extended arm hitboxes over parts of the side belly. That would have gained the same effect as these arm you put there will have without ruining the uniqueness of the design.

The mech never was (or is) pretty. But at least it was unique. Now it isn't.

Indeed! MW3 was very advanced for it's time. And it actually had better graphics than MW4.

Hahaha, the Bane?!? God, I wish! But that mech would utterly break the game... There's a variant of the Bane with 10 UAC2s (AND 4 MGs) STOCK! Another variant has 8 F*ing LRM15s, STOCK! (And SOMEHOW manages to cram enough ammo on it to keep it fed, too!)

Was totally pumped for the Madcat MkII (old Battletech player) then my car's transmission blew Posted Image , at least I can have the desktop wallpaper till it gets a c-bill release. I'll be following the MkIIs around in my MkI for now.

It's one of the tallest mechs period. Taller than an Atlas, taller than a Dire Wolf, the only thing I think is taller than it is an Executioner....

So tall in fact that we had to adjust the MechLab cameras to fit it in frame.

PGI had to add an extra layer of waterproofing to the camera lens to compensate for players' tears.

Haha, wow, so it IS taller than the Executioner in this game? That's insane.... sounds fun Posted Image

I'm getting a strange vibration every time I step with my right foot.... What? There's a Urbanmech stuck to the bottom of my foot?!? I didn't even see it down there!

there will be no way to protect that CT on the annihilator - neck(CT) can be hit from all sides

hero even more so with those elevated missile racks
was hoping that they would be more set into the existing torso

Depends on how they split the hitbox... I'd bet money that's side torso up there. Just like the Cyclops

Some thoughts with some salt:

-Everything looks awesome for the most part. Even the Annihilator isn't too bad imo
-MkII gauss rifles are tiny and too long (as expected) Posted Image
-Uziel arms might be too small but it's hard to say. Overall I love the model
-The the Cougar Prime's arm-mounted pulse lasers are nothing like the concept's. No barrels and are in a different place. really kills the look for me Posted Image Posted Image

i'm guessing the neck/head will be partially side torso. most people just shoot for center mass anyway, so it's probably not a big concern.

Agreed. Unless you're in a situation where you can pick your target carefully, the side of the head isn't likely to be prime target zone... especially with as high as it apparently will be. And even then, there's plenty easier shot side torso above the arms it looks like...
