No structure quirks, lower agility than it used to have (honestly this one is an assumption), and continued nerfing of IS laser vomit have pretty much made it just lackluster. Sure it is solid, but there are many variants form other chassis' that are better than it. It is hard to compete when the MAD-IIC and SVN just outclass it.

Where are all the Ebons? Is it a Faction Warfare thing because of tonnage restriction?

Are we talking about the new mrbc meta for mechcon or like group queue team? I dont follow comp really but last year there was no ebon as far as i can remember.

Is that choice driven because of restrictions or really because as far as laser spam goes, the ebon is the best?

I'm talking last season of MRBC post skill tree, comp queue has probably been Night Gyrs all day every day because of their power (we will see what happens post patch).

The latter, at least among heavy pilots that I can tell. I don't normally play heavies so I didn't ever experiment fully there.

I think people must be holding a stigma about Dragons. Maybe it's just because I've been piloting them for actual years, but while it felt like hard mode a couple years ago, the resizing, addition of quirks, and now the skill tree make it legitimately powerful, and it's very surprising to me that not many others seem to think so. A fully tank-specced DRG is fast, reasonably hard hitting, and almost ridiculously durable for the size.

And I don't just mean the 3xLPL 1C, though I won't deny that it's a real performer..
