Stop Running Into Me

I am not talking about the spawn or in the middle of combat when you naturally are going to bump into each other. I am talking about the walk to the battle. I have been stationary and someone comes walking/running. Apparently it is to taxing to tap a or d in order to change your path a few degrees. It is not lag either as the other guy have plenty of time to see me.
Sometimes a faster mech wants to pass me but same thing there, he must grind against me when he is passing, squeezing himself between me and the terrain because he can not wait for three seconds.
Then we have the situations when you are zoomed in and someone pushes you so you kind of float sideways, throwing off your aim because the other guy is dead set on plowing through you even though there is plenty of room.

only in a mech you are much more likely to be looking at something other than the mech in front of you.
so if that is the case to bad for you.
be thoughtful and stop to the side of the road.
don't expect others to have to look out for you.

I'd be all for removing all incidental "bumping" damage to lights as long as they bring back knockdowns. Otherwise, OP, I'm not really sure you have anything to complain about OP; when you can currently run through an entire team's enemy fire and escape, a little leg damage is not that big of a deal.

I am not talking about that kind of situation if you read the OP you will se that. Besides I do not use throttle decay so I can not stop and then start in a millisecond like Locusts do. When I am behind someone on my way to the battle I make sure to keep at 100 m or more alternatively I position myself offset. if I do stop and get run over and it takes 4 seconds or more until someone plows into me it is not me that has bad situational awarness.

So I'm automatically mashing the W key as I land off the drop ship so I get out ahead of my bumbling teammates.
I doubt they care and would GAF so I'm proactive in conserving my leg armor.

I do the same. I assume that every player in the game pilots their mech like a chimpanzee who was taught how to drive by an intoxicated Mel Gibson. I try to stay the hell away from everyone. What depresses me a little is the handful of popular streamers that ram people at the start on purpose just to trigger them.

So try to avoid the full speed collisions, but don't worry about the low speed, close-quarter jostling.

and they'll be the first one to complain about team damage more than likely as well as they walk into your already firing lasers.

A ) Big *** mech just whacks into me to push me out the way so he can go in a straight line to where he wants so he doesnt have to make a small circle-around movement.
B ) Im clearly firing over the top of some cover and moving back, repeating for a while only to have some einstien walk right in front of me as im firing a rack of lasers so he can pop into the same position and fire at god knows what as my lasers rip his backside to shreds instead of finding his own plot of land to setup camp.
C ) Trying to be a team player and follow the rest of the sheep to support only to find them in the open surrounded on 2-3 sides getting trainwrecked and me following them like an idiot to my doom knowing full well i might as well seeing as i wouldnt make any diff at all in for example my purifier or firestarter if i bothered being smart and not going anywhere near that duck shoot.
Other than that, im sufficiently average enough to contribute........sometimes...

What are you talking about? At the start before I have moved an inch someone from another lance comes bumping into me because he can not be bothered to tap left or right. On my way to the battle I move and sometimes stop to get my bearings when the next guy is behind me in an Atlas is 200 m away. He has all the time in the world to go around. I am not talking about running 30 m in front and then slamming the brakes.

You want to know irritating? Pilot something with <15kph/s accel and <60kph top speed and have to navigate around a sightseer in a light mech that's just as likely to pull forward and block you anyways. That "small" amount of movement needed to get around a hemorrhoid light pilot is an extra 10-15s to my trip to the front lines. If it's a city map it's potentially much more.
Of course these players are "escorting" you, so as soon as you're past them they'll zip forward and park in front of you again. I played a FP game with some guy in an Urbanmech whining about how Assaults weren't pushing.. poking his mech from every corner in front of us so that we'd have to maneuver around him, or bump him as he pokes and lose all our momentum in the pile-up.
Even worse (and I'm assuming most lights complaining about getting bumped by assaults are these players) are lights that will try to poke from a corner or fight in close proximity to Assaults or Heavies. You'll try and move and they'll pull in front of you- or they'll be playing "defense" rocking back and forth in front of you. You either have to risk them getting in front of you and killing your momentum right as you need it most, or you take the risk of having to maneuver around them and expose your mech to even more enemies. Lights and fast Mediums don't need to be in the same grid square as the Assaults and Heavies to be supporting them.
Don't like getting bumped? Don't park your mech in places where heavy, unmaneuverable mechs are going to have to navigate around you. Faster mechs need to give way to slower mechs.

So you are saying that when on Polar When I am standing still and has done so for 6 seconds the assault coming up behind me and has still 200 m to go does not have to show any consideration? That is BS. The fight has not even started. I play all weight classes and when in a heavy or assault I do not run over my teammates if I can avoid it by tapping A or D to pass 20 m on either side. 15 extra s to avoid a mech. BS it does not cost that kind of time.

Someone did this to me once and I ended up with a (rare) TK. I was trading with a damaged enemy mech at close range (in a narrow platform area on River City irc) and this person ran right in front of me and body-blocked the alpha that was meant to finish the enemy mech. After saying something like something like 'Thanks for the alpha to the back' they disconnected before I responded. I've no idea why he/she decided to run right into my line of fire - there was enough room to stand next to me.
We were being rolled anyway, but still.
