Did i miss the lore for all those mechs released the last months?

They didn't even get the animations finished, let alone the lore...

Yes please more lore! I think adding blurbs like intended roles and stuff would even help new players out, it would be so cool!

But..but..this contradicts all of the players who say "F' Lore". Yes this would be nice, but these Lore write-ups are official canon from Catalyst, so I am sure they don't have time to write Lore pieces for every Mech. Maybe PGI could just quote some lore from Sarna for all of the non-hero Mechs.

F those who say f-lore ! XD

Fluff/lore brings all the flavor !! Instead of having a soulless game ...

Lore is not to be confused with tt rules, so you can go ahead and write ALL the colourful stories ^_^

I was thinking something super simple like "The awesome was created in year 3000-something by so-and-so manufacturers to serve as a long range fire support mech, and saw intensive use for bla bla bla..."

Not that I know lore at all, but something short and sweet for individual mechs would be super nice.

Sarna is already updated with the details of PGI's apocryphal variants here is the entry for the Hangover:

Quoted from Sarna.net:

"THS-HA Hangover
Mechwarrior Online's version of Felix Grimstead's custom Thanatos, the only difference is the use of four Rocket Launcher 15s and a Rocket Launcher 10 in the right arm."

The people who make the Mechs are not the same people who fix the bugs. PGI needs to earn money to pay both the people who make the Mechs and the people who fix the bugs.

On the other hand, it does not affect me if you spend money on the game or not, all I know is that I will be piloting a shiny new Thanatos in November.

I would write brief lore summaries for them as a freelance writer if they paid me.

Read the entire paragraph next time, is what he meant, it specifically stated at the bottom that the original thanny was marketted as an Omni, but it wasn't wanted, but was recieved well when swapped into a standard battlemech.

A few lines later in the lore they talk about it being converted to a Battlemech.

To everybody asking about the lack of C3; all mechs in this game have C3 compatibility.

That's not a joke; C3 is the name of the inbuilt VOIP.

Now; I love the lore. It's another IS heavy mech; a big boxy brute of a thing, but it's not a bad mech to say the least. Also first mech to come stock with Rocket Launchers; even if that is just on the Hero. So yeah; no real problems here; was not expecting IS Omnitech until I saw the name "RAPTOR" or a random "HAIL BLAKE" somewhere in the lore.

The first IS Omni was either a Blackjack or an Orion and I do believe that the Word of Blake helped the FWL develop those.

Hell Yesh another bait the dust men, only have wait for Fafnir and Warlord (atlas with clan tech) and only, only maybe I cant die in peace xD.

The Warlord is an 80 ton Battlemaster knockoff evolution.

Neither. The first wave Omnis were all Kuritan, curtesy of Battle of Luthien salvage.
Order was Raptor, Black Hawk, Owens, Strider, Avatar, Sunder, i think...
The Blackjack Omni basically was a prank, just like the Firestarter Omni. "In the spirit of new cooperation" in the face of the Clan Juggernaut Irian and Coventry respectively gave Luthien Armor Works the Plans and Licenses for those BattleMechs pretty much useless against the Clans. LAW said Thank you very much, and reciprocated by sending back the FS Omni plans to the Lyrans, and turning the BJ into an Omni for export. Sneaky Snakes.
The Omni-Orion (Perseus) is a second generation IS Omni that appeared much later.

Well technically there are 75 and 80 ton versions of the Warlord (the Warlord II which is the mixed tech version is 75).

Yess, Thanny! But i'm confused. In MW4 (MekTek) the Thanny and Thanny XT had 360° torso twist range. I know this is not MW4, it's MWO. But, is it possible, could it be that .... Posted Image ?
