Yes, it was less meerkat and more raptor.

There is, however, a bit on its design philsophy when it comes to tactics. It is basically an oversized light Mech build for the combined arms environment of the FCCW era. Hence the JJ, big engine, and eclectic weaponry. Make it the leader of a scout lance on a battlefield with vehicles, helos etc., and you can answer pretty much every threat. The downside is that Mechs of equal weight usually have the Uziel for breakfast.
I did not buy the Mech because I disagree with it spearheading the FCCW-era in MWO (that's just anti-lore), but I will give it a try when it is released for C-Bills. I mean I am sure I could make it work as kind of Phoenix Hawk, for I like the mobility and I like mediums with an idenity crisis.

The mech is really nice, you will like it. I am running the hero with 4 Mlas and 2 MRM10s with a massive 360 engine in it. goes 122, has JJs, maneuvers very well. Plus with all its weapons at cockpit height or above, it can ridge peek and snipe very well.

Sarcasm aside, I think it is an interesting forum topic! I enjoy reading the lore on mechs, which I get from the Mech Factory app.
The big *** shoulders would give a nice angle range for LRMs I guess. Past that, beats me.
*edit, 200 forum posts AND hit tier 2 today!! Anyone want to drop 200MC for me to find?!

Not on the level of the Uziel. Trust me, I own both. I love both. But the Uziel has MUCH larger ST hitboxes, even with the weapon pods on the EBJ's STs. Combined with the 15 ton weight difference, the UZL needs the love.

I get the complaint, but the EBJ can choose not to have those hunches, whereas the UZL cannot.
I perform better in my EBJs with those hunches than I do in my UZL and lose STs on the UZL much more often than on the EBJ.
Not that I would refuse any EBJ armour/structure buffs, feel free to do that too
