It is the small things that make a game go from good to great.. things like this.


It's largely because PGI never accounted for the imbalance of high mounted hardpoints (ideally by doing something smart like making sized hardpoints) so if it was too easy to use the best mounts on every mech then it could cause problems.

It wouldn't even be a problem if PGI had done something smart about it in the many years they've had to potentially address the imbalance of high mounted hardpoints, but unsurprisingly (to nobody) that hasn't happened.

Sorry fella, PGI is certainly interested in your money and perhaps even your opinion, but the value of one is irrelevant to the merit of the other.

I really hope PGI forces every mech to wear clown makeup and a hat now, for at least one month out of the year.

No where in any of the books or lore have i read mech pilots putting useless **** on the outside of their mechs.. camo patterns and colors to look like different units. Yes. Mechwarriors are not going to add useless weight to their mechs. Armor, firepower, logistics support, mobilty or nothing.


Why would they do that when they can just sell mechpacks instead?

You should read further down. He means picking which hardpoint gets which weapon, allowing you to use a high mount vs. a low mount for example. Not switching the hardpoint somewhere else.
