They run warm also it's hard to spread damage to arms and legs. Except LRMs seem to target just the legs on the supernova. Lost quite a few legs from LRM fire... Weird. I have a little over 1100 matches in a supernova.

I have no problem to spread damage to the arms.. I just torso twist, and give the arms to the enemy, and it works great.. finding it super tanky..

I usually use up my LRM ammo and then tell the team to use me as a meat shield..

I've got over 10,000 matches, most of those playing assault mechs, so I have an idea how to torso twist. But more often than not, damage finds my torsos and not my arms.

Yeah, turning your arm into LRM fire does tend to let it soak much more damage, and certainly a lot of it that might hit leg armor. But honestly, I find it spreads damage respectably period.

As for ammo, having ATMs + LRMs on the -A means you have a good excuse to be flinging fire at that just-barely-brawl range of 200m -> 500m, and it's perfectly reasonable to dump 70 or so damage (more at "sweet" range) at the point where you can fire, turn away, and still get missiles into the target.
