No need too answer my question I found how they are screwing us again. Just because i purchased them when they were for sale not after their date. thats fine see if i buy another pack if this is how they want too screw us and ask for more money at the same time.Being Canadian PGI did you ever hear this one. S..t in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills first.
You bought the Cyclops outside of the time frame for this year's rewards program. You received a loyalty reward for it last year.

This is BS. I bought 6 of the full[all the mechs] top packages for qualification of the IS reward top tier. Full package of the urbie, rifleman, phoenix hawk, cyclops, and the bushwacker. Also both of the full resistances packages. How do I not qualify, just because i didnt hit the collector button.

**PGI**
I'm confused, the announcement states that the Resistance 1 and Resistance 2 collections are eligible for the Top Tier IS reward... I purchased both of those collections, the complete collections, yet I don't qualify according to my profile page?
Is this a glitch or did I somehow not get the right item?

According to the requirements, buying the top tier Resistance pack (either) should qualify you if you bought it within the time window for this year's loyalty rewards.

My goodness, people are *still* angry that purchases which qualified them for previous Rewards programs don't make them eligible for *another* set of Rewards?

The level of entitlement is reaching critical mass!

Because if they were already used for a loyalty program before they shouldnt be used again. Only for thier sake of selling more mechs of the packs, which till this point has never been before. So no i will not buy more of another pack that i dont want nor will I buy again[for real money]. Buying 8 of the packs mentioned dont get me one free mech for loyalty. Then i will so no more loyalty too this game.

So I have a genuine question. I have bought 5 IS standard mech packs this year for a total of $95. How does that not qualify me for the IS top-tier reward, when a $70 ultimate pack or 2 collector packs for $80 does qualify? I understand needing to invest to get the higher rewards, but why not qualify everyone who spends over $90 within the time frame for this years loyalty rewards? For the given side they're trying to qualify for of course. So $90 spent on IS for IS, and $90 spent on Clan for Clan. The update to include the hero add-ons and reinforcement add-ons was nice and probably helps some people out, but why are standard packs considered no good even when several of them are purchased?

I don't understand "Deadline for Eligibility November 14th"
Does this mean I can Buy something till November 14th to get the reward? So does this mean next year the annual rewards program is for everything from november 15th or is it valid for both years? Or did I understand it wrong?

It's highly unlikely that a single purchase will count for the same reward over two years.

Ahhhhh, so I bought the right thing, just not at the right time. Man they are making this a bit complicated... Oh well, I'll miss out on a loyalty 'mech, but I'm not giving PGI more money just to get it.

You do not get the Top Tier rewards because you do not meet PGIs qualifiers for the Top Tier reward. It is not about how much money you have spent but on what you have spent it.

Example (a little lopsided, for in MWO it is a reward and an incentive, in the example it is an incentive only):
A supermarket has an offer: buy 2 times the bodywash of [insert company] and you will get a third exact same type of bodywash on top. Why for the love of Christ would you think that this offer would be true for other items? You have to meet the qualifying tiers.

The good thing is: No damage done as of now because if you want all the loyalty thingings, just upgrade some (!) of the basic packs and upgrade the rest next year for next years reward program.

Because mix and match is quite common when multiple things of a certain kind are on special offer? Because it's not buy two mech packs and get the third one free? Because the whole theme of these yearly events are based on how much you show your support for the game in a year by how much you invest into it? And because it's to encourage people to buy some more to get an extra goodie or two?

Your example of a certain company's bodywash actually supports my question funnily enough, buy so much of a certain brand and qualify for the offer of that brand.

I'm asking why PGIs qualifications for the top-tier rewards are the specific way that they are, not why I'm not getting them as is. I know it's not about the money, as you can get top-tier for as little as $50 from buying something like the Javelin Ultimate pack. What I am asking, is why 4 standard packs aren't considered comparable to 2 collector packs. Am I somehow considered less loyal?

I'm not blaming anyone for anything, claiming I'm being slightest for something, cheated out of something, have some special right to something, or any of that. I'm asking why some of the things in the online store count towards and help add up to the higher tier reward, while other things in the same store don't. If there's a decent or sensible reason for it, than great! And if not, well, then I'm merely intending to inquire how much it would hurt to include standard packs as something that would add up to the top-tier reward if you get enough of them, nothing more.

And why for the glory of Satan are you comparing physical objects that are often sold by competing companies, which have good reason to exclude similar products from other companies from a certain offer, to digital items of comparable type and worth all being sold by the same company? I'm asking about apples to apples, and you give me an apples to oranges example.

Am I wrong in asking why I'm seen as less "loyal", and am I somehow making demands while throwing around assertions? If I am then I do apologies. All I'm trying to ask is "Hey, I noticed these two things compare to each other, is there a reason why only one of them counts towards the thing?". If I came across otherwise then I'm sorry, as that's not my intent.

May was Clan IIc heroes
June was Civil War: Escalation (Osiris, Nightstar, Artic Wolf, Nova Cat)
Aug was Thanatos
Sept was Hellspawn

@ SPNKRGrenth
"Mix and match is quite common". Well, not where I am living. Doesn't matter after all, because PGI is the boss around and they set the qualifiers as they've seen fit.

I get your point, however, that PGI could've also gone for a fixed amount of money that you must've spent on IS and Clan side. Would equally make sense of course. But PGIs rewards are attached to certain tiers that PGI has set up. Accept that or not and buy (if you are still going to do so) the Mechpacks you want, as I did. And I happen to have done things "right" (according to PGI, that is).

But as stated: there is no real damage done to you since you can upgrade two packs for the top tier reward and upgrade the rest next year. Go back in history, this model is what PGI has done in the past.

No, this year you're seen as less 'annual.'

The bottom line is that basic mechpacks, no matter how many of them you buy, only qualify for the basic reward. They are the three-for-one best buy for the money, which is why people buy so many more of them than they do of the upgrades. Your value, and therefore part of your reward, is already given to you when you buy them. This 'body wash' is the generic sad trombone 'Mommy tells me I smell nice' brand, but PGI has ensured that you still get an annual reward for buying it as opposed to the people who decide to boycott the use of body wash altogether and scrounge up free bars of soap that PGI has set out in its public bathrooms.

To get the top-tier rewards, you have to buy something other than just the basic 'best value' mechpacks. Buying two Collector's packs, an Assault-tier tiered multiple mech collection or any six of standalone heroes and hero/reinforcement add-ons goes above and beyond the bargain basement mechpacks. The perceived value per dollar spent is lower, so the top-tier rewards are reserved for those who bite the bullet and fork over the extra dough for them. This 'body wash' is the premium, hot chicks in bikinis giggling and prancing bouncily around you brand.

I'd like to know too. From the roadmap seems like the next new mech pack will be Clan.

Next will be a clan light (most likely the Piranha since it was already confirmed to be added to the game).
The mech after that will be a clan medium (which most people think will be the Black Lanner but no words from PGI so far)

That's all what the roadmap was giving us so far.

Yes I think so too. But u wonder...when I buy something end of October or beginning of November if it's already counting to next year reward or not. This November 14th confuses me.

I suppose all you have to go on then is that it will count for this year, so it probably won't count for next year. It could be that they're trying to walk back the eligibility period by a month or so every year to eventually end up with the cutoff residing exactly at the new calendar year, and instead of the confusion surrounding time- or day-stamp they could just say 'if you bought it any time at all in 20XX (adjusted for Pacific Time Zone), it qualifies for the 20XX Annual Reward Program.' Or I could be full of crapola and they're doing it for some other reason, or even no reason whatsoever.

Either way, it shouldn't affect your purchases yet other than to know what will count for this year's program...if you want to time something so that you can be certain it will count for next year, wait until after November 14.

Does hero and reinforcement add-on of the same chassis count as 2 towards hero requirement for the top tire reward?

It should do, yes.
