I think I'm more like guy 1 than guy 2. I stick with the team and have a default aggressive playstyle.
My clan deck is Kodiak 3, Ebon Jag, Nova, Mist lynx g. You can tell me if that's good or bad but I'm new to clan (and still fairly new to the game) so they're what I have.
I try to put 'meta' loadouts on them when I'm playing FW (even though they're sometimes less fun)

The KDK3 is good when you're on a Defense map where the speed isn't important. In most other modes though you're probably better off taking a MAD IIC, bump the Nova to a Linebacker or another EBJ.
Having 1 Linebacker in your deck is a good idea for every single map/mode. There's almost always a wave where you'll want something fast that packs a good punch and the Linebacker is ideal for that.

All things will be fixed when the patch comes out....... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
No seriously, a hot fix will fix the patch that fixed the last hot fix that fixed the patch that fixed the hot fix that fixed the weapons, armour and population of the game and then we can have another patch to deliver ice-cream and candy to us on the battlefield.
Have you seen the tile of the new game to be released, its called MechWarrior 5 MERCENARIES, sorry to correct any of you but the others are right this Is a game for mercs not loyalists, it used to be but not anymore and not for a long time, merc numbers are used to inflate stats that are used to legitimise the whole nerfing and quirking merry go round that we have been on for years, I have nothing against mercs as they are an important part of the game and I love facing the mix of tech on the field but where in anywhere did the clans employ mercs, didn't the mercs come to power because the I.S. needed them to help fight the clans?? or is that part not talked about??, again a simple solution, clan drops 15 men in a Tri-Star and if you face and I.S. team then tough t*tt*es to them, if you face a merc team then you face both kinds of tech and the whole match is gonna be a bloodbath.

Thanks for the advice. I'm saving for another clan heavy, I really want the timberwolf but I'll definitely consider the linebacker. I faced a fair few linebacker rushes when I was IS, that thing is scary!

I have about 3,000 total drops in TBRs and still play them sometimes.
Linebacker at this point is better. The mobility nerfs on TBR leave it largely unplayable against most mechs.

I'd like to see special events actually be 'special' in some way.
If it's just the same game play with prizes, it's just getting more for what we were already doing.
I'd like to see some of the options changed for the duration of the event.
Change drop deck tonnages, even if it's just for the two factions involved in the event.
Only run certain maps all of the same tileset. ie. Luthien is a capital, it might have made sense to only use city maps.
Make a few changes that alter the dynamics and feel of the matches.

Totally agree,
So many things could be changed to make FW Events feel special and a lot of great ideas have been put forward by the community. That takes effort, something PGI doesn't seem to want to put into FW.
