Piranha is a mech that I've wanted in game for a long time, along with Locust IIC, Wasp, Stinger and Valkyrie. The game needs more light mechs.

One question before I give you my money though: Will the ultimate pack count towards 2017 top-tier clan loyalty eligibility?

Wow, this was an instant buy for me because I have already said that the clans need a 20 ton mech to complete the tonnage. I don't care if it was a Fire Moth or Howler, I would have done the same thing. I even told myself that I wouldn't spend anymore money until a 20 ton Clan mech was in the game. So as a man of my word I bought the Pirahna as promised.

I honestly don't see how people can argue that this little monster needs to go faster than a Locust *and* have more hardpoints.

-So is rolling dice to see if you can pilot that mech over a figgin rock or to see if you can just hit a mech let alone do pinpoint alphas from 500+ meters...

Sorry guys, the "Its gotta be true to lore" argument got stale 4 years ago...

This thing is a beast that would likely eat any non-streak based light alive so long as you manage your heat...

I mean, how many IS lights have 9+ hardpoints?

I'm usually on the fence about new mechs, but like in every single Star Wars movie....

So glad we are finally getting another 20T light mech and a clan light to boot...but really PGI why are we still getting 3 packs??? When are we just going to be able to buy the variants we want to buy now that we dont need 3 of anything to skill up the mech???

Long I have asked for a 20ton clanner. Now there is one. Money -> pgi.

I sincerely hope all those others who have clamored for this or that (specifically, in this case, the piranha) live up to their word.

On top of all that, the art looks fantastic, the pre order package is nice, and the number of hardpoints on the mech are generously staggering (even if there is only a minimal amount of tonnage for all those hardpoints).

Here's hoping more people realize the whole "i'm IS only" and "im clan only" self imposed role play is ludicrous nonsense.

Incidently...with only 6.5 tons to play with... its not like even if you ONLY carry MGs you have very deep ammo reserves. The 12 MGs are 3 tons.

Will happily preorder that little bitty, fishman thing? What ever it is it's cool, and as Bob Barker says, "The price is right!". Loads of hardpoints to boot added plus. Doesn't go as fast as a locust? Don't care it's faster that both of my cheetahs.

I doubt that the Ultimate Pack of just one mech will ever qualify by itself for a top-tier annual reward, but an Ultimate Pack also contains a Collector's Pack, which will count for half of the traditional requirement for a top-tier annual reward. It's never been about the amount of dollars you spend, but how you spend them.

If you are completely sold on the mech and are concerned about making it count for the 2018 rewards, I'd suggest purchasing the basic pack in time for the Early Adopter rewards, but waiting until after Nov 14th to purchase any add-ons, so that they qualify for next year's program.
