Shouldn't that set up have more ammo? With max efficient armor (3.5 tons) and the stock engine, the Piranha has 7 tons open.

LMGx12=3 tons
MiPLx4=2 tons

One could hope, but my money is on the... ugh... On the Black Lanner. I just cannot see anything redeeming about the thing, but it has popularity. Considering we already have 2 40-tonners with the Arctic Wolf, the Pouncer is no longer a necessary option, our 45 ton options are solid, now that the SHC has an extra missile hardpoint, 50 ton bracket is extremely well stocked. Not like we can use 55 tonners in scouting, anyways, so any 55 ton mech will be of limited importance. Even though the Vapor Eagle is an absolute beast.....

Not that one. The ASN-21 showed up, the 23 did not.

Also, Piranha gets ~7.5 tons open. I know this, because I pack 7.5 tons of equipment on almost every Locust I have using a 180 engine.

Yeah, I fear micros more than MGs on a fast mover for 2 reasons.

1.Infinite ammo of lasers.

2.Instant pinpoint alpha of micro pulses.

I think the micros will be the go to and pure MGs will be for semi viable trolling.

Ok with a 180xl max they obv know the limits of hit reg, so:
Flea needed
1 base/special as varient -17 ( the base)
2 either just -4 base as a heavy weapon model, or -P4(adv tech of the -4 with endo and/or light/ferro and dhs if it all fits for more armor)
3 -20 ( light ppc, ecm and stealth armor stock)
Plus reinforcement
1 -P19 (trade mg arrays for armor or ammo) 4b per arm, 1e, 1m (flamer and rocket-10)
2 -P14 with 20 tons mass instead of 15 tons, and Jump jets. Can be done base tech with an extra ton left over.

It won't matter.

Unless you plan to dedicate 24+ points to your arse, no amount of rear armor is going to really change that particular outcome. If you do rear-load the armor that much, you only handicap yourself from the front.
