As an T3 outsider, reading these posts, you can't imagine how silly you 'all sound...... "if you're not this, you're not that".....
Guys, it's a freaking game.............and, a pretty silly one at that with less than 30K players of which, maybe 10K are active....
If you'all spent just about half of the effort helping new players stay in the game as you do arguing amongst yourselves, MWO would be a lot better experience....
If you are as good as you think you are, then Lead MWO towards excellence as a free game; be a role model player and embrase the new players and STOP FARMING; and, for the love of God, find some humility........
Someone earlier has it right: "the most fun MWO matches are when T4 and T5 potatoes have at it because they are giving 100% of the skill they have and make up any skill shortfall in selfless acts and whole-hearted effort....."
(It's the best matches I've ever expereinced......)
Thoughts from a casual, super spud Potato from "the County...." Ay-yup
You think it's silly to separate the experienced players, from the inexperienced?
That's what the Tier system is supposed to do
All it does is separate time, not skill, or experience
That's an ineffective system for a balanced experience
As it is right now, you can safely expect 5 or more players to fail to deal 200 damage
That is a very small amount, requiring the rest of the players to get 800+ to win.
That's what I see when I drop, half a team being Terribad (a the "glorious Tier 1" peak)
I've given a fair bit of knowledge to new players. Don't expect me to do that for 5 years
Others can continue
I play the game to shoot robots
I play the game at, according to the game PSR system, at the highest level. I shouldn't be able to farm
That's a game issue, not a player issue
The PUG LIFE isn't fun anymore, because of the current matchmaking hell
Half Terribad, half carry
Few competent players in every match
Competitive is the only real appeal, MRBC and NBT
Private matches
Farming Potatos with a Mk2 (or KDK3 previously, or Cheetah before that) gets old
Competitive doesn't. If the MM system were improved (as simple as a Zero Sum system), maybe I'd enjoy it more
As it stands...it's an outright failure in terms of gameplay improvement
New players are the only ones who benefit from PSR, at it keeps the new ones away from the wolves.
