I should be tier 5 but PGI's system for figuring out skill is stupid so I ended up in tier 1 Posted Image

If I actually gave a **** what a ****** like you thought, I'd be in a much sadder place.

I thought you were in a pretty sad place. How goes begging for money? If you'd put a fraction of the effort you do in spamming here into looking for a job, maybe you wouldn't need to rely on charity.

Naw, that would be your pretty boy edgelord pal. I just prefer to get to the point.

Then stop trolling the Forums with your excuses that you just have "fun" with crappy "mechs".
But you are Tier1 in selling your opinions about the game by spamming. To be a loudmouth is your skill.

I displayed my tier and changed my location line just to point out where I shouldn't be.

Well, concluding the last part of the thred. Wineapple dallas is having a bad day and HI AS dont understand that running a handycap in practice will boost your performance when going for the ones that really matters to you.

Please stop your elitism, depending on your stats you are one of these "potatos" you are talking about, if you cant catch up with an old, drugged and disabled man, whos using lrms in tier 1, finds metawhoring boring (and dont uses it) and only plays for fun and not competition.

How the **** was me making an observation that I witness players shaming eachother over their leaderboard stats elitist?

Ok, I think this thread has run its course (And achieved what it was aiming for, god damn guys we're easy). We've devolved from goofing around, to personal game related attacks, and now to just plain old personal attacks. That's it.

I suggest that everyone do what I've decided to do (After this post) - Let it die. No more bumps, no more 'I just gotta say one more thing to that mean player. Just let it go. Choose the classy route, Mechwarriors.

Just one thing left to do.

it's the modern world... saying anything makes you elitist... and then if you say nothing at all it just PROVES you're elitist. You snob! Posted Image

Bombast, I think I gave a hint at least - but you were, lets say, a bit more pinpoint.

Then that person does not belong in Tier 1, because they bring the quality of the match down
That's the whole issue, EVERYONE can become Tier 1
That is an issue, because it fails as a measure of skill, or general robot competency
It just separates new players from old players. That is the ONLY thing PSR does

As an T3 outsider, reading these posts, you can't imagine how silly you 'all sound...... "if you're not this, you're not that".....

Guys, it's a freaking game.............and, a pretty silly one at that with less than 30K players of which, maybe 10K are active....

If you'all spent just about half of the effort helping new players stay in the game as you do arguing amongst yourselves, MWO would be a lot better experience....

If you are as good as you think you are, then Lead MWO towards excellence as a free game; be a role model player and embrase the new players and STOP FARMING; and, for the love of God, find some humility........

Someone earlier has it right: "the most fun MWO matches are when T4 and T5 potatoes have at it because they are giving 100% of the skill they have and make up any skill shortfall in selfless acts and whole-hearted effort....."
(It's the best matches I've ever expereinced......)

Thoughts from a casual, super spud Potato from "the County...." Ay-yup

Tiers mean nothing, I suck... yet I have always been a tier 1- Started almost maxxed out- because I play too much. More 2-3 I would think.

You think it's silly to separate the experienced players, from the inexperienced?
That's what the Tier system is supposed to do
All it does is separate time, not skill, or experience

That's an ineffective system for a balanced experience
As it is right now, you can safely expect 5 or more players to fail to deal 200 damage
That is a very small amount, requiring the rest of the players to get 800+ to win.
That's what I see when I drop, half a team being Terribad (a the "glorious Tier 1" peak)

I've given a fair bit of knowledge to new players. Don't expect me to do that for 5 years
Others can continue

I play the game to shoot robots
I play the game at, according to the game PSR system, at the highest level. I shouldn't be able to farm
That's a game issue, not a player issue

The PUG LIFE isn't fun anymore, because of the current matchmaking hell
Half Terribad, half carry
Few competent players in every match

Competitive is the only real appeal, MRBC and NBT
Private matches

Farming Potatos with a Mk2 (or KDK3 previously, or Cheetah before that) gets old
Competitive doesn't. If the MM system were improved (as simple as a Zero Sum system), maybe I'd enjoy it more
As it stands...it's an outright failure in terms of gameplay improvement

New players are the only ones who benefit from PSR, at it keeps the new ones away from the wolves.

The newest iteration of the MM is yielding the best matches I've had in ages. Admittedly you still see the odd LRM Atlas or crap build in general but mostly people actually play the game. I'd rather lose in a good match against a good player than seal clubbing
