I second this, the decision to slant the arms detracts so much from what looked to be a great mech. It's also caused the first time I've ever considered canceling a preorder, as well.

Insult to injury is the cockpit item miniature doesn't appear to have the fatigued arms:

What the... Yeah just like the Mad Cat MK II walk animation, this is what it SHOULD be! PGI, at least give us a formidable reason to why it is what it is. I would gladly wait a little longer for the injection of Nightstars until those arms get raised and/ or at least shortened a bit. For best in-game first impression. Sure you could adjust it afterwards. Gotta be in line of the cockpit those arm hardpoints.

The Nightstar relies on good arm mounts.

Should make a list of incorrect/ faulty/ misangled geometry, weapon placement and animations for mechs. Because the list is growing.

-Mad Dogs got left missile tubes non mirrored in comparison to the right ones.

-Novas got their left arm misaligned and just looks wrong.

-Nightstars arm geometry are too low slung and not in line with cockpit.

-Uziels leg stance are not low enough, same for walking animation.

-Mad Cat MK II walking animation might have gotten better, still could be fine tuned more. Needs more weight to the walking. Longer strides.

Im sure theres more.

Too bad so many of these energy based Mechs are DOA now, courtesy of the laser nerfs...

OTOH you have my express permission to Not buy or use any of these mechs. If anyone says you have to buy them, just send them to me....I'll deal with them!

The mechs look pretty cool. Maybe the best looking wave we've ever had.
But the imbalance pass keeps me from looking forward to the patch...

This is the funniest thing I'll see all weekend. Great find. As for something constructive to say on the topic, I think I would be very hard pressed to find a recent example of a bait and switch of concept art and final product that took it to this degree. The Madcat Mk II is a bit tall and seems to stand on its tippy toes, and the Uziel had a few issues with its frontal profile. Honestly though, I don't get it. Players are used to a world of "What you see is what you get" from marketing and PGI seemed to have pulled it off flawlessly with other mechs I purchased, like the huntsman & marauder IIC. The Supernova should have caused problems for the modelers but even that one was presented without a hitch.

Edit - arctic wolf & nova cat have a pretty worthy appearance in comparison to their concept art. PGI just hates IS it seems.

Raise the arms pls PGI or I'll probably cancel my Nightstar purchase. And I haven't cancelled anything since the horrid Enforcer head. That's how bad those arms are.

Yeah, nice to know they will be change. However a more reassuring statment would be something along :

" The arms will be raised/ shortened to match the concept art more "

Who knows, change can mean anything. Maybe they will point em more inwards and say " we have changed them now " Posted Image

Hopefully quirks. The patch notes say the quirks are on the countdown page but they aren't. Lies!!!

I'm glad that they are revisiting the Nightstar. (Arms... and hope hand actuators and ST's too)

The Novacat has lower arms than I expected too.

And the Orisis arrives with a laser nerf.

And man patch notes are fun killers these days...

I hope those structure quirks are a mistake and they're supposed to get armour quirks like the 9J...
