How about increasing the heat rate exponentially? The more lasers you fire, heat rises faster. Also, the more damage a laser does, the heat rate increases accordingly too if more than one laser is fired.

All PGI had to do was implement the heat scale with shutdown chances at certain heat levels and ammo explosions. Of course, they would need to reduce ammo quantities back down too so people don't just boat ACs or missiles. As I've said before, Alphas were meant as finishing moves, not do it every chance you get.

That's weird, alphas have been a huge part of every MechWarrior game. This isn't table top BattleTech or the books..

I'm super sad to see the ARTEMIS shot group spread nerfed. The mech design investment of 1 slot and 1 ton for every launcher just to tighten the missile focus is substantial, and if it's not gonig to be as effective anymore, it's hard to justify as a viable option.

Thank you PGI at last you gave lights at little bit of a buff. You have just took the nerf bat to any lock on wepons . good luck assaults and maybe even heavys with streaks (the bane of lights), hope you have a good torso twist when trying to lock on with LRMs or ATMs at mid range. Iam going to needed that extra time to core you with these laser nerfs in bound

Since I only use Level 1 tech, the Medium laser is the core weapon of many of my builds, so this will definitely hurt my ability to effectively damage 'Mechs as I can't go Pulse because it isn't Level 1 or heavier weaponry due to the Single Heat Sink allocation. And as I frequently mention, while ER LL and ER PPC got range boosts, the LL and PPC never did.

This is a nerf to brawling ultimately promoting sniping, trading and lurming at long range. Huge step backward.

EDIT: Oh great, it's not even coming out today. Well, that's a disappointment. It's a shame that we find out so late that there will be problems - it's fine if it takes another day but for those of us who have been waiting for it, it's a real unpleasant thing to find out at the last moment.

Read my post. They just announced it isnt even coming out today...2PM tomorrow. Which is still midnight, so essentially, I'll be playing it on Thursday instead of today.
