Like folks, did you actually look at other three mechs instead of Nightstar? Like Nova Cat?

I understand about being artworks or something, but does it really need these gigantic side torsos?

It's really, really ugly, even before we are discussing about mech balance. If these boxes had slight slopes like in artwork instead of straight like we have now, the mech would be far more well-shaped.


Seriously, with exception of arctic wolf, all other three mechs are just plain awful.

Just like Civil War package which both Mad Cat IIC and Uziel suffer animation quality, these 4-mechs per month package really did terrible influence in mechs' quality.

I really hope you guys at PGI take a hard look on these mega mech packages again and improve their animations and overall models.


And oh please, fix Uziel's walking animations already.

Yeah now that I've taken a second look at em, Nova cat suffers from what my family calls 'Furniture disease' meaning his chest is falling into his drawers. Or like he went on an all weekend bender.

Tho Artic wolf now......hes itty bitty. Or at least with the pics they poster hes about as big as the osiris. That to me just seems odd.

I agree with you.

I assume ressources got shifted to MW5 some months ago. The hours that remain for MWO are enough for the level of quality we see now. No time for polishing though.

Yeah there are some attributes of the Nova Cat that are less than ideal, but I think it is going to be a lot stronger on the absolute power scale than the Nightstar.

The Nova Cat side torsi are pronounced, but they are not gigantic. They are basically the emaciated version of the NGyr STs, which makes sense since Nova Cat is 5 tons lighter.

I'm a bit surprised nothing has been said about the Nova Cats head. I think it looks terrible. The majority of the art you see shows it with a more angular, flatter topped head.

It also should have more detail below the windows. Again, most of the art shows it as having an almost respirator type feature around the lower area. Right now it looks like they slapped a football helmet on it and called it a day.

I actually quite like the way it looks. The animation will be what saves it or kills it for me though, previous games gave it a sweet loping step, I really hope they can bring that to the MWO nova cat. Heres to hoping they learned their mistakes from the mc mk II debacle.

In case you haven't noticed I am a player, oh wait I'm not a clanner so I don't count... sorry for talking massa. I can voice my opinions after 5+ years whether you like it or not, I am tired of lack of balance- when the IS wins a FP event then I will listen to you, until then YOU shut your trap. Yes, I am hurt with the lack of balance that will surely kill this game in 1 year or less. GG PGI

sorry I don't agree that clans should be buffed, IS nerfed and all MWOWC should be clans.... WTF happened to any sort of balance..... wait you like it unbalanced....my bad, I will stop trying to get you to think of some one other than yourself.

Nova Cat gonna have a real bad time when attempting to poke and them ST's gonna be bukk@ge so hard in the process. The head not a fan of but tolerable.Gonna say this mech be middle tier at best simply because hit box may curb it's potential.

Well the Nova Cats were one of the more "passive" Clans in the Clans. Soooo yeah imma gonna spread mah "flower power" over everyone .

Relax, everyone knows that missiles aren't viable. If anything the Nova Cat will be snatching up those yummy high mounted side torso hardpoints.
