Well, obviously because a serious amount of good IS players decided to concentrate on scouting. That is why IS had the better overall W/L ratio.

I guess your question is, how to encourage good IS players to play invasion?

Drop alongside a unit?

Form a unit?

Join a unit?

That's what happens when QP with respawn pilots meet easier button mechs.

Tired of loosing and can't play as part of a team in the teamwork queue? Go Clans for easy button, ghost drops, and long wait times!

2 losses from yesterday were in my team. We were 10-12 people who know how to shoot. But we couldn't do anything because clan laser vomit seems like runs cooler than IS brawlers on Terra Terma (1 drop, 48-2x) and Caustic (2 drop, 48-20). Enemy team sat 400-600 m from the ridges and annihilated us. No way to close distance in cover because they were good in manuvering and adjusting position on our movement.
Enemy was good, but I don't expect such stomps when I drop in team. Range + Speed + Cooling in favor of clans were too much that cycle.

Hey, I was part of that 1 win at 8:54 yesterday! Looking at how the whole night went it suddenly feels lot more impressive.

If Faction Play wasn't 90% Sieges it would be more fun. Siege maps are generally not very fun for at least one team.

I think that Clans simply have to adjust their scouting mechs/loadouts and tactics. No need for balacing activities. Posted Image

well the only thing that can be done is lock out pugs

and 1 man units from FP

you guys and PGI have been saying it for so long I am getting sick of hearing it

step 1 define a unit

unit = XX (at least more than 1 man)

step 2 = make FP for units only

this needs to be done even if its just for an event so PGI can work on there game
maker

*note game maker is not matchmaker
*note 2 it might be to late to save the Zeppelin

They did. Then factions lost purpose with 1 bukkit and balance went screwy, so they went Clan and merc. That or they play scouting. Lots of units in scouting.

More people should be encouraged to go Clans. It is the rational thing to do. The long wait times can be dealt with by enabling same techbase combat between factions.

The slider bar should be made persistent pending an eight hour ownership check to not blunt planet capture with the addition of a second front.

The broken population modifier should be replaced by a territorial control bonus of sufficient amount to overcome win rate earning discrepencies and encourage faction migration by mercs.

Fix? how about 10v12 as we asked for from start of clans. Now the only way to fix is clan v clan and IS vs IS.

Several of those drops were ghosts, I was on one of them and heard there were several before.

Perhaps a marking is needed on log when ghost drop occurs.

I spent the weekend playing Mechcommander Omnitech (for about the 20th time through).

100% more fun was had.
