UAC2s dont have low velocity though. Thats why they dont suffer as bad as other ballistics. their travel time is tolerable.

but most other ballistic and missile weapons really suffer compared to lasers because of the lack of velocity.

nerfing the UAC10's heat for no reason didnt exactly help either

UAC10s and 5s just got their velocity buffed. Have you tried them? The 5s seem quite nice.

You don't use MRMs with MASC though, because your tonnage is generally pretty much devoted to stacking as many MRMs as possible and just hammering things because MRMs aren't hot enough to justify burst play. The Shadow Cat is still the best harasser, shoot a couple of times with high burst energy weapons and run away while you are cooling down.

You can easily put MASC + MRM60 on the Wolvie. I personally prefer JJs than MASC though..

Ummmm, how? MRM60 means no XL, which means you must be skimping on ammo. Even then, why bother with MASC when you can just upgrade your engine for a flat 10kph upgrade.

You can strip the arms. 4 tons of ammo is plenty.

No it's not, MRMs are inefficient for that damage.

Yes it is. I run MRM Mediums in QP and FP, and 4 tons of MRM ammo is plenty for MRM60.

MRMs kinda suck doe and that can be its own thread. I don't even touch them because they arnt even MRMs, they are just ALT-SRMS LBX edition.

I tried MRMs for a month and as long as you skirmish poptart with them, they are pretty good. Treb-7M/TDR-9SE with MRM60 is just bonkers.

I would buy three of each. LOL.

You act like I haven't run it in QP either. 4 tons is not much considering how spread damage is, a lot more than your typical SRM boat and those typically run something like 4-5 tons of ammo (in other words 800-1000 spread damage potential if not more). I've gotten a lot of damage on them, that's not the problem, you NEED that higher volume of damage to compensate for the inaccuracies.

I... I only have 1 ton in my bushwacker...

Granted its only one launcher though. My rule is one ton of ammo for every 10 MRMs.

And 800+ potential damage per match is plenty to cover for MRM's inaccuracies. Shouldn't expect more from a Wolvie.

No, it really isn't.

Oh yes, it is. I dunno which tryhard rock had hit your head, but in pug matches 800 spread damage is plenty for a Medium mech as contribution. I wish pugs on my side can do half as much before dying in a Medium mech.

I dunno man you one of the only people I see pumping MRMs. They kinda suck. I would be using them if they were any gud.

MRMs are not top tier weapons, but they do offer good performance on mechs that have suitable hardpoint locations/quirks/JJs. Drop against (MS) sometime in FP, and see for yourself. Just pick Marik for the upcoming event.

Again, 800 spread damage really isn't impressive in PUG matches, medium or not, especially if I'm expected to carry.

You realize Kin was in MS back when it was actually good right?

In CW you can stack 12 of almost any nonsense decks and do well farming baby seals. I know you can probably produce some screenshots against units or whatever. As someone who has played more CW than most players in this game even after essentially quitting after phase 3, I know its 8/10ths or greater of farming bads or baby seals.

Hah! On the contrary, QP is where any weapon system can work. FP is far more tryhard, as we often clash against KCom and EVIL. And MRMs have their place there.

Thank you for this thread, every couple of weeks I need to come to the forums - see a thread like this and remember why I'm not playing this game.

Threads like this are kind of like birth control.
