I'm slowly...losing my capacity to really feel any kind of enthusiasm for Faction Warfare anymore...

If Clans dominate, or Inner Sphere takes back everything...I just...don't care anymore...How the map looks at the end of the night is slowly becoming more and more irrelevant to me...

I'm here for drops and for my team...and whatever happens between the rest of the game is whatever happens...PGI, you've finally done it...you've finally eviscerated my ability to actually 'care.'

So...wait, re-cap of what just happened plz?
Anyone?

The event was changed from "what it was" to "what it is now".

Matt Newman said the prizes that were won but not claimed from the "what it was" event will be automatically sent to the players who earned them (later on), without having to send a screenshot to support.

Akula0815 suggested that those who manage to complete the 6/6 win event should be allowed to choose the reward from the faction that they want (like PGI did it last time, a few months ago), instead mercenaries being able to claim up to 3x the rewards of the faction of their choice thanks to their weekly contracts, and loyalists being stuck with the single reward of the single faction they are in (unless they want to suffer a 25% loyalty penalty to switch out of it).

Rest is made of a lot of whining : Despite the name of the event, players were only expecting to get treats :P

Why MC Consumables instead of CBills this time?

Last event with such prizes it was the CBills version and I was happy they finally switched. I much prefer those because I check the box to auto-replenish without worry to accidentaly spend MC on it. Maybe that is PGI intention? Have people spend MC until they realize they forgot to uncheck? Because you must admit it's annoying to manually replenish after a match.

I DECIDED since PGI gave into whiners and took a decent event and made it worse, I'd finish farming the 50 loot bags from faction on my alt account and claim the halloween horn. And thus... 50 are now done and I even slipped in an invasion match with all the scouting. Took three gaming sessions. Except for a couple of the scouting they were all in the wolf/shark conflict zone. WHy exactly did the buckets need to be shrunk again ? ? ? I even had time to get in 24 QP loot bags.

So let me get this straight - I now I have a 48 hour window in which to get 50 FP loot bags in order to gain the *grand Prize*. Let's say I can get 5 bags an hour - that means I have to do 10 hours play over a two day period to get your mech (and that's only doing Scouting - don't expect me to actually do an Invasion). And what about people who have something on in their allotted two day window of FP play?

Really?!

No u're mistaken. The 50 loot bags under FP is for any FP match scoring 100MS, with a jack-o-lantern cockpit item after hitting 50. The faction specific rewards eg Clan Wolf were reduced to 2/4/6 matches for the 3 cockpit items. Getting 6 matches with 100MS under House/Clan banner will count towards the 50 FP matches.

If you have no PO or TSP, you have 12D and 20H to get 100 matches in QP and 50 matches in FP, regardless of your allegiance.

Because Wolf versus Steel Viper were getting zero matches for almost 24 hours.

Other conflicts reported the same issue.

Nah... be serious, people need to log in and play a bit! I go for 100 QP and had hope to get it. I mean my time is precious, family, halloween with kids, work, housework, and some free time to play and I should be good to reach 100, but 150? No way.

you can lower the number your self, buy a couple of preorder mech and you lower the number with 25 each. and you will also support the game. if you bought all 5 package you would start with 125 bags, and only had to do 25 games with a game score over 100.
that would not be so impossible to do...

Hm, he is going for the grand prize, you know. So spending at least $ 15 for the Piranha for 25 loot bags. OR go to steam and buy the med package for around 22 €. Hm...

Can you consider that for the FedCom Event both units can choose to rather be Steiner/Davion/Mixed Steiner-Davion? Sorry, but hmm. I don't follow the hag named herself Katrina S.

Yes...reported by impatient whiners. Because we have folks who were vipers who HAVE reported getting matches along with the other queues. It always amuses me how a handful of complainers on twitter is all it ever takes for PGI to cave in. Perhaps you should actually READ the messages from people who were getting matches instead of burying your head in the sandbox of ignorance.

Well I was at 26/50 VIPER vs WOLF matches when they shut it down...

I think this means that when the VIPER event comes back online, I will already have 26/6 matches and will be able to claim all prizes for that part of the event right away (with ~2 weeks left to claim it, even if I'm offline during the new VIPER event days).

Maybe they should have just kept the event as it was, and just make each victory count as +10 points instead of +1 points when it's your own faction's special event day, and then nobody would have lost anything (including the Wolf players and their 2 events, and those who won't be able to show up on the right day for their own faction event...), but they didn't do that so this is how it is Posted Image

There's a kurita loyalist in this thread who got ALL FIFTY matches needed in the original conditions at the start of the event, and won't be able to play MWO again at all for the rest of the event (he mentions the word AIRPORT in his message) including when the kurita specific window opens again. I'm sure he's not alone in that issue of not being able to play in some PGI 2 day designated window.

for 15$ he get 3 mech, plus he helping further developing of the game, if all are free bee the game will die....
i bought the support pack, best 10$ i have give to the game, i have got so much extra thing, plus i have bought a little thought out the whole year, that will also give me 3 more mech at the annual reward program. so you can not say that $15 for 25 loot bags.
i just think that the people that whine most, is the ones that want most for free.
not to say that he is one of those types, i don't know him...

Like I have endlessly stated since FW was still in "beta", being a loyalist is not rewarding enough. Here are the things that would make FW better (in my opinion):

- Greater rewards for being a loyalist, like unique Mechs, colors or camo and increased Cbill and XP rewards while holding certain planets.

- Mercs can not join Clans (Clans did not use Mercs).

- To switch to Clans Mercs would have to become loyalists.

- Far greater penalties for breakings loyalty.

- Some kind of skill-based matchmaking system, or maybe a "Combat Value" system that takes a player's tier level, Mech and loadout into consideration.

- Open all the factions again, so anyone can fight anyone again.

- Incorporate Quick Play into FW, similar to how scouting matches work.

You had better ask Santa for a FW playerbase 20x as large (at least) as we have now...

I hate to be a downer, but players (in general) need to try to push for things that PGI could actually do with the playerbase that they actually have.

I busted my butt to get my 50 FP matches in during the first two days of the event. The wait times were long and there were some ghost drops during off-hours, but I *really* wanted the warhorn so pushed through the grind. I'm leaving town tonight and won't have access to MWO until after the event ends, so it was important to me to get my games in before I left.

I logged in this morning to claim my rewards and sort a few things in the Mechbay before heading to the airport. It appears that the in-game events tab was changed and I can no longer claim the rewards for this event that I earned. I read here that the event criteria have been changed and it is being made easier to win the faction-specific rewards ... that's great. Except that I won't be able to play during the window assigned to my faction, which is why I made time Thursday and Friday to get my games in ahead of time.

PGI, can you please grant players rewards that were earned but which were not claimed at the time of the event switchover?

I will take care of getting your stuff to you Monday. When you get back you will have your Warhorn waiting for you.

It's not that.

It's more of the map is pretty much useless...

The last two back-to-back competitions and how they were handled were finally the nail in the coffin for me.

That's how the IS has felt as a whole for quite some time now with the added benefit of knowing your just not going to win.

You have the right attitude; drops and team. Good drops with good friends/team vs a good enemy.

Do you know what IS got in exchange for "constantly" loosing?

Stronger mechs and greater quirks, and now bigger benefits from skill tree. Clan mechs repeatedly nerfed in name of balance.

How do you think Clan side feels about all this?

PGI managed to anger both sides and create decline on player base.
