Nintendo x64 could not do HD, 16x AA, or any modern particle or lighting effects, so the only similarities I see are the colors and the shape of parts of the terrain.

Like the fog on the map. What I dont "like" are the structures. They look like buildings that got clamped together (dont know how I should describe it to be honest).

Looks hot and brawly.

HPG + Caustic with a dash of Tourmaline. The fog will make things interesting and I like the cover.

I LOVE that someone on PGI is a big gem nerd! Rubellite is one of my favorite variants of tourmaline.

A lot of people would like nothing more than to have a flat, ultra cold map with infinite line of sight for their ER large Lasers. It's why I have to build up 8x multiplier just to play Viridian bog once a month.

I like that it seems to have multi-layer elements just like HPG / Crimson Straits.

It looks nice and all, but I PREDICT the actual GAMEPLAY will be the same ol' same as the rest! That is, 2-3 bottleneck paths forced to travel, fighting over a MIDDLE grid in which is the ONLY ONE that gets Used!!!

The same ol same lame gamemodes, which doesnt matter as they ALL ARE JUST 12man Deathball, Nascar!
At least this game is FREE TO PLAY! :)

I like what I'm seeing. Another very "alien" map, kind of old Caustic feel but with these structures that should give HPG style gameplay.

No reason why it needs to be hot. You have volcanoes in cold places too.

I'll also echo the calls to remove map voting. PGI's done a lot of good work (in my view) to improve old maps -- I'd like to play all of them.

Me too, as a real-life geologist it's wonderful to see them use minerals as artistic inspiration. Grim Portico/Plexus is less obvious,but I think they're also inspired by bismuth formations.

Just like some maps have random atmosperics, why not have random temperatures? I live in the mid atlantic and in a given year can see a 95-100 degree (Fahrenheit) swing from winter to summer...

Useless Map. Unless its like -25 degrees we'll never play on it. Looks like someone took a dump on concept art halfway through development.

This is not what the community asked for when we said More Maps.

Devil's in the details as the saying goes, and I'll wait to pass judgment on the map when it's released. Until then, so far, looks great. However, looks can and will be deceiving. All in all, we finally got a new map. I'll say this: A-B-O-U-T D-A-M-N T-I-M-E!!!!!!!
