My Poor Unused Stormcrows

With the IS gaining solid mediums like the BSW and Assassin why are clans still limited to 50 tons?
The IS now have solid options to combat our crows and tonnage needs to be evened up.

I wouldn't worry. Lots of people complaining, and with a new 55 ton Clan Medium mech pack just announced, well... I feel a powerful patch a'commen.

Seriously, just because you can't use your Stormcrow in Scouting doesn't mean you can't use it at all. Not sure why people think that.
EDIT; Oh, and also, I remember you. That was a funny match.

While this is true on paper when it comes to building a viable drop deck and I need to fill a slot with a medium I don't usually choose the heaviest medium option... for standard drop decks I use </= 50T to conserve tonnage for other mechs in the deck. losing 25T right out the gate means I need to spread tonnage more evenly through the deck or be grossly out tonned come wave 3-4
Stormcrows really only shine in Scout by comparison.

That said, i dont see why the crow would be an issue, its not OP or anything, and the streakboat is now better done with the huntsman if mobility isnt a super critical thing (crow can still do a fast streakboat but its nolonger the ONLY clan medium that can do more then 4 streak6 well).

Not to mention that the Stormcrow got its mobility nerfed quite substantially over the years and definitely lost quite a bit of its pep when PGI used the engine Desync to balance out various mechs. It isn't near the mech it used to be, not by a long shot. Its still good, don't get me wrong but its not an Apex predator any more.

As long as I am allowed to bring it in scouts, and can obliterate a light from ~200m, I'm happy. It's pretty much what we need nowadays to prevent smoke-divers!

Now, on topic, with the release (announcement) of the Blacklanner it would make sense if they upped the clan scouting tonnage as it would def have a role. If they dont, well I can't see it having any functionality outside of a fast flanker/hit and repostion role. It still has the omnipods to make interesting builds (once all the omnipods come out for space bucks) that should prove fairly effective.
A man can dream can't he?

I could say the same to all the tear soaked IS players. It's not even, no way at all. IS has the tonnage advantage even would be both sides having 55 tons. Black Lanner is designed for scouting so why should we not allow it to be in the scouting game mode?
WHY should I or anyone who decides to play the Clans be treated like a second class player and have less tonnage for a mech that's been superseded by newer ones and it's said build is again better used on newer mechs.

Otherwise, I don't need another fast 55 ton Mech that I would rarely play.

Expecting Assassin and Bushy to get over-nerfed, Clan scouting tonnage back to 55.
Also expecting PGI to go ahead with those Small laser nerfs after erroneously deciding their Medium laser nerfs were successful. And they'll include the blue beams in on the fun. But the cMPL will remain Jesus-mode compared to the rest of the entire set of weapons in that range bracket.
