They did very well with the Huntsman animation... which is why all following digitigrades having some horrible animation is extremely confusing. At the least, they could have lifted and slightly modified the animation from that, right?

It looks good, but...

The lower knee ("digi-grade ankle) doesn't move. It just is harder to notice on the Huntsman.

Pay attention to this comment if you ordered Thanny. It will be pretty one dimensional.

I'm not going to list every possible combo prior to to the drop, just the most obvious for those worried about the big mech's silhouette. Even the 'phracts broad shoulders are a harder target at range using stealth.

Aaaaaalright! Quirk time, finally. Well could be better but they could have none at all, no torso/ arm/ leg etc quirks.
I would have preferred all those structure boosts were turned to Armor, while also giving 8-16 structure quirks on top of that overall.

4P - Totally fine overall, could do with a slight higher boost for missiles, to 20% and/ or target decay buff and/ or s slight boost to energy range/ cooldown

5P - See above, seems less brawly and more poky could do better with tha mount of structure bonuses the 4S got. I do however think all the Thans should at least get 16 structure and 8 armor on all of its components.

4S - This one got nice weapon quirks for a brawler... that is, if it got the higher bonuses that its cousin, the 5S got for its torso components

5S - Not much to say here. Jack of all trades variant. Instead of ballistic range, it should get ballistic velocity of 10-15% instead. Or instead +10% ballistic cooldown. At the very least, buff the ballistic range to 10%.

5T - Yeah, yeah 6 missiles does NOT make an excuse to gimp its survival ability that much. Give boost to structure like the rest of em and/ or have missile boosts of every kind to compensate.

HA - Almost the same here as for the 5T. If not give it a structure boost overall. At least have some decent weapon quirks.

Overall. Give ALL variants + 8 Armor on all components. And boost all existing and non existing structure boosts to components to + 16.
I know, adjustments should be taken into account after the mech have had some fights for some months first. But this is what I see could/ should be done when the time comes for quirks boosts/ adjustments.

Honestly though, This thing ain't DoA. I plan to get experimental on it quite a bit. the Hangover is just asking for a bracket of SRM/MRM launchers. honestly the people saying it would be one-dimensional are usually the ones who don't experiment with builds at all.

Wow. These quirks are absolutely atrocious. If you're going to start giving terribad quirks then nerf the older mechs as well. I might cancel my preorder now. It will be in no way more valuable than a warhammer or measured.

Eh. PGI are doing the defensive/ step by step approach regarding quirking. What if they gave it uber quirks at start. The peeps would whine its OP! Lets see if it gets more afterwards if it as said, underperforms.

Quirks are fine. I was after defensive quirks anyways. If it doesn't do well or people complain it will get more quirks.

Digitigrades are a pain to animate with inverse kinematics. Single-joint legs are far simpler and don't freak out.

Crap. I just bought these damn things.

With meh quirks like these, I should have bought the Hellspawn.

Eh they won't be great but I can think of a couple of things that will probably be fun.

@App: you do realize it's a 75-tonner, right? regardless of quirks, every 75-tonner to date is a solid performer, due to just being on that cusp of being an Assault Mech for armor and firepower, but still retaining some mobility too. don't judge the mech until you've actually piloted it.

Thanks for the reply. It's cool that they said that in a separate news post which I missed cuz I was gone for a month, but they still haven't updated the FAQs like they said, so anyone looking for an answer there is still in the dark.

I heard elsewhere, somewhere, that it was model specific... do you have Word of God on this?

Not only that but there is always that rage when an IS Mech gets a nerf of any kind plus the cliche "It will get nerfed when it comes out for C-Bills." If they start out conservative and then adjust up then they avoid all that plus the possibility of making it OP from the get go.
