Commando had streaks? Streaks are already used in QP so I don't see any big changes in the underhive.

Streaks have always been meta, it's just about knowing when to use them.

Huntsman running SSRM36.

As I recall, it was universally run by potatoes though. The UAC/2 Dragon and Flammando, though, were run by winners.

In MRBC, Streaks get banned in Drop 1 since Drop 1 is all Lights and Mediums and everybody knows a Streak fight would be boring as hell.

Only cause the matches are on Conquest mode. Streaks are less useful on most other modes.

6 SSRM4s and 2 ERLL is how I think the Huntsman was setup.

Which didn't do so well as far as I can tell and I don't think they got very far with builds like that.

See it that way: As soon as the Piranha will be released the number of streak boats would have multiplied anway. Poor lights... streak are so idiotic. Easy auto-lock mechanisms in a shooter are simply bad

Streaks kill lights. It is known. They aren't a high skill weapon, but they are an effective anti light weapon.

It does really well when facing teams that bring arctic cheetahs and mist lynx. Problem is EON favored Wolfhoubds which are extremwly durable to streaks, which is why in the final set of the double elimination, we switched our streaks for a more conventional hunchie.

My most effective anti light weapon is the heavy Gauss, preferably fired 2 at a time. A couple of lasers isn't bad either, they're good for taking out nearly destroyed legs and a proper laservomit build can basically oneshot a leg if aimed with care. Variants of the AC/20, AC/10, AC/5 and most PPC variants work just fine as well, so do most halfway decent SRM builds and MRMs in sufficiently large numbers.
