i know its pie in the sky but im just spit-balling. i think a planet-side 2 style map would work amazing with MWO, and breath alot of life into the game. For those who don't know. basically imagine 5-6 of the current maps melded into one huge map. Clans would have a base at one side that couldn't be taken over and IS would have a base on the other side. then essentially you have the entire map divided up into 10-20 zones. from this point its kinda sandbox. you attack the zone you want to take, at that point you battle for that zone and it kinda becomes a capture point map. I think they could make this work with MWO.

Planetside 2 maps doesnt even work with planetside 2. So no, they wont work here. Unless we remake the game from the ground up.

Could you imagine tho trying to rally enough people to an area to defend it against an organized team? It would be gloriously chaotic :D

As a fellow planetside 2 player, while I would love to see that kind of game play, the maps we play on in MWO are actually about the same size or larger in a couple cases then the planetside 2 maps.

indeed, maybe even make it interesting. every set amount of time....oh calculate how long pgi thinks a normal match should last, you get credits. make it where you cant just afk but you have to do something, scout damage ect to get credits. Make it where the more zones you hold the higher your credit multiplier is....would be glorious indeed.

I think some War Thunder ground maps would be awesome for MWO. In particular:

Poland
Normandy
White Rock Fortress
Ash River
Abandoned Factory
Eastern Europe
Hurtgen Forest
Jungle
Stalingrad
Berlin
Advance to the Rhine

We really don't need that. You could still have the Battletech universe without a persistent world. But we need a better engine that's easier to adept. Deliver on some of those promises they'd made early on. Would help if they also hired an experienced design lead too.

no

but I think a MWLL style map would work with MWO

basically a really huge map with ticket based respawns and capturable forward bases

it wouldnt be persistent but the games would last 45 minutes to an hour probably.

its in each way not a Engine Problem ...seeing MWLL with a older Version of the Cryengine
Its-..less creativity and Problems with the serverbased Calculation
