Nightstar - Legs, Animations And A Proposal

I'm currently meching with the Nightstar and was wondering about the legs (btw. thx for already fixing the arms!)
So just as clarification about what I'm talking:
They (the legs) seem bit awkward compared to the concept:
After bit of 'investigation' I found that Arman initially quite nailed the concept:
But then where later changed to match the King Crabs rig / animations.
Now, I can image why you (PGI) did this. It saved you from making a new animation for this very specific upper and lower leg size / length. I _might_ have a different reason (there are certainly people who prefer the current look) and then the King Crap rig just by accident provided a perfect match - although - I think it's rather unlikely.
Ok now my proposal is: Please change the model back and give the Nightstar a less King Crab rough walk cycle. I think a Marauder-like style would be a better fit for this elegant mech.
BUT - I can imagine a big part of your team is already hard at work on MW5. So I say: just send me the files, I'll do it! For free!! Even better. I'll buy the Nightstar support and hero packages too!
Send me a NDA ... or ... DoNotGiveAnythingToOthersAgreement ... or ... PleaseBringItBackWithoutAScratch-BecauseIDontKnowIfICanTrustYou-CanITrustYou?-IHopeICanTrustYouAgreement... I'll sign it!
Just to prove I'm able to handle a grown up Nightstar properly:
This is a 'fake Warhammer' I did a while back
And these old but cute walkcycles show I know how to cycle walks <3

Because #TheNightstarDeservesIt !
So let me know
Oh, and by the way: Good (cyber) Monday!
Cheers !!

I too think the Nightstar could use a little less of a drunk-"Oh god, I almost fell over"-walk
To be honest, I (personally) also would like to see the Nightstars upper arms shortened a little, to have the lower arms start about the same width the hip ends, but that's just my nitpick.
Let us know, if they contact you! Sounds like a good deal, at least in my ears

They just took the animations from the KGC and slapped it on the Nighty and pummeld him to fit into it.
First thing everyone noticed when it came out.
At least it is not as bad as the Novacat.
Seems PGI does not invest at least a minimum viable ammount of efford into things ppl actualy REALY payed money for.

Also, damn, I never noticed that they mangled the legs so badly.

I like the King Crab walk of the Nightstar. To be honest, I bougt it mostly because of the "good" walking animation compared to the MadCatMK2. Can´t touch the mech. To me, the MadKatMK2 walks similar to the movement shown in the old Black Lanner concept art...
Do us all a favor, and clean the animation of the MadKatMK2 up. Thank you in advance.

thanks for making this really generous offer, both to PGI and the community.
Lets hope they give it a shot...
Lets hope you get an official reply on this!
I just wondered... have you PM'ed this to someone at PGI so it will not get lost in the forum?

xVLFBERHxT: it's difficult to move with very short upper legs. They give some cool silhouettes but moving is difficult. There is a reason you rarely see any living creatures with such a upper/lower leg ratio. So they have to come up with something that at least seems to work.
Savage Wolf: was confused about this too. Not sure why.. well.. _because_ maybe Would prefer a symmetric layout too
Cyrilis: atm I would assume they're sleeping.

I´m impressed by your examples and effort and I think you´ve got a very good idea here.
Let´s hope PGI listens to you. Then I´d buy a nightstar pack, too.
