/tinfoil helmet... Of course, waiting until AFTER MECH_CON would mean they do not have to answer embarrassing questions that the stats may bring forth... /chuckles....

Well IS most likely won more invasion on that event but that doesn't say anything since you need to win just enough so that the tug of war goes the other way, which basically happened when a mayor contributor to the tug of war moved over the the clammers on the last few days.
I'm still salty about the fact that the devs manually 'fixed' the tug of war victory conditions after the fact though.

I didn't intend to have it come across that IS would have won - more about the amount of victories and had there been no silly tug of war or coding errors a victory may have been had. I stand by that events need be be based off percentages, given the population and the clear push by MS the last two days.

If Tharkard had been setup the same as Luthien, Clans would have won by several battles at the end. Matt deal is that he meant it to set it up so it only took ONE battle pass the starting point in the middle to win, which is sad considering we are talking about a CAPITOL and the surrounding planets. That is what he meant by making a tie ALMOST impossible to happen.
I do believe Matt. By providing the Clans with a win and a possible expectation that the next series of CAPITOL battles will rest on who has 1%+ wins has set it up so that at least for the Clans, it will be worthwhile to participate. While for IS with the more numerous pug crowd, it may likely ensure that Clans do win the next set of campaigns.
And why not? It will allow the season to end and start a new season, since the IS forces are more on the defensive side of things, there is no movement towards the Clan homeworlds, and PGI still has not fixed the War History.

Russ to Matt when it became glaringly obvious that the IS "should" have won had there been no tug of war or coding errors.

The ToW bar is broken. Has been since it's creation. Maybe after two failed attempts to use it, PGI might sit back and actually realise it IS BROKEN and fix it for events they hinge everything on?
Problem is once the bar is maxed, wins are not 'stored' or 'banked' like they should be. Hence all that matters is the dying hours of the event... Which is plain silly. PGI said it wouldn't come down to the dying hours, so they have no choice but to reneg on the incorrect assignment of a Clan Win as the stats don't support it, and never were.
Gonna be interesting to see how the spin is put on this one.
