I just noticed it's no longer listed on smurfy? Just wanted to check it's armor, I've seen it previously.

Well iirc or had something like 150tons of loadout with stock ammo for a D-DC, but no weapons. Something like 300armor per component, but (i think reallocated now XD ) stock rear armor.

Just a heads-up... They removed any ammo packs, in order to avoid easy kills through Ammo Explosion Crits. It shouldn't have been easy in the first place to take out the VIP Atlas anyway.

well its still pretty easy to take it out
it needs weapons
it should have a laser AMS and a pair of large lasers at least. maybe even an LRM launcher but with case for the ammo so it doesnt explode the whole mech.

lol... my kitfox has exploded from overriding with triple laser ams.
I suppose you could makes its weapons generate zero heat, maybe make them fire slower than normal weapons too
but the VIP should definitely have weapons
it would make the gamemode less of a disadvantage for the defending team if the atlas could at least fight back
although I still think the best way to fix escort is to make it symmetrical with a VIP atlas for each team.

Uhm... no... like No... as in, NO!!! Seriously, the VIP should not be easily made to overheat to death.

This, I could agree with... particularly with the Crimson Strait Map. Although, that map is overdue for additions, I would like to think, seeing as it feels like it lacks a third path of approach. Only having two real paths of approach has made that map kind of stale.

It should have the 2 rear facing medium lasers the atlas is supposed to have. Program them like the turrets basically.
Eh... what are you talking about? I have never heard of anything indicating rear-firing lasers on that 100-Ton Mech. Would you please link me to the chunk of Lore that indicates this?

Only Sarna, so grain of salt;
Quote
For close-range combat the Atlas carries four Defiance B3M Medium Lasers, one in each arm and two mounted in the rear center torso
Quote
the AS7-D-DC removes one ton of LRM ammunition and the paired rear firing lasers.
Quote
For close range defense, the K model carried two Victory Heartbeat Medium Pulse Lasers in the rear torso
Quote
The weight savings are used to add two rear firing Coventry T4H Streak SRM-2 launchers, giving the Atlas increased protection in its rear arc of fire.
Quote
The additional heat was dissipated by two additional heat sinks that replaced the rear-firing medium lasers.

@ Jay Leon Hart --- I see... Unfortunately, players are not allowed to lock onto enemies behind them, or target them without the help of a friendly Mech. Sadly, given PGI's game mechanics in MWO, we'll never have Rear-Firing Weapons.
